WARNING!

At first the marina staff appears very welcoming and curteous and attentive. However, The service department finds absolutely any way possible to take advantage of a pocketbook if they get the slightest impression that they can. They ALWAYS have excuses for delays and even though the delays and even damage may be their fault, they find some way to force the boat owner to pay extra, since at this marina, they are YOUR boss. You may own your boat, but they own you! It was only after being here for a few years and after hearing stories similar to this by other of dock neighbors that it was confirmedafter I needed service work. I was delayed and given excuses and I lost the entire month of July. I left and had another marina work on the problem and it was fixed in three days. Port niantic had strung me along for over a month and half supposedly waiting for a part and then claimed that the part shipped was wrong and the kept needing to reorder and then one time they found the shipping request buried in their pile on a desk and it hadn't even gone out for two weekss, and even argued with me to charge me extra for pulling out the boat and putting back I twice while hey hhad the wrong part ordered. The new marina explained the part was simple and had in stock and the entire job was under $200. How complicated could this possibly have been!? neighbors of mine at port niantic confirmed similar issues over the years and explained that certain boats are pulled immediately and fixed and others sit around forever and delayed. They cater to the 'elite few' - the ones who tip them higher. They are a very money hungry- owners are attorney with their large yacht at the dock showing off all the money they made from people like me. Their manager lies and cheats.
Their work is slow. Their excuses and lies are quick and their public image is fake. Along with me, two other dock neighbors who have been with them for a few years have left for these similar reasons.

Be ware. This is not a reputable business. They strung me along for 5 months and gave me excuses only to finally tell me that they had gotten the horse power of the engine they were telling me I could put in my boat absolutely wrong. They cost me several thousand dollars and in the end proved themselves to be incompetent and disreputable. Don't use them, ever.
