Sustainable Landscaping

Few homes can boast of having an actual website, but Helene Marsh's Tiburon Bay House in San Francisco does. As one of the first LEED-H Platinum certified homes in California, it has a stunning sustainable landscape design by Shades of Green Landscaping. This design includes gabion walls and lots of native plants (to better withstand drought conditions) including a low-maintenance lawn, requiring half the water of a regular lawn. They also recycled concrete slabs from the previous home to create the patio (left) while ensuring every surface was permeable (except for the driveway).
