The Ladder Shelf From Sam Ladwig

While wandering a trade show floor, some things just call out to you. That's what happened with this Ladder Shelf from Sam Ladwig. Ladwig is a graduate student at the Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, Ind., and designed this piece as "an exploration of lines and planes moving in space." Other than the use of steel, Ladwig professes that he's interested in elevating the status of secondary woods. In this case, poplar. Either way, it just seems like something we'd want guests to see in our living rooms.
