The Dish: Shrimp and Pork Dumplings
The Story: Executive Chef Marc Bernard recognizes that dumplings bring hungry families in need together during the Chinese New Year. That's why he's cooking up this new year special for Big Bowl's special menu February 9-16, 2013. His shrimp and pork dumplings will be served at all locations in Chicago, Minneapolis and Virginia. They're filled with hand-chopped shrimp, pork and "delicate" Chinese chives.
Big Bowl will even be concocting a Blood Orange Ginger Ale (lower picture) for the holiday, donating $1 from every glass to the Make-A-Wish Foundation (up to $5,000). That'll help bring some good fortune to others.
