The Story: Just when you thought you'd seen all iterations of the French fry, Nancy Silverton's Short Order inside L.A.'s iconic Farmer's Market busts out this spudsy spectacle. Essentially, it's torn shreds of potato deep-fried in a cozy and sumptuously starchy exterior. Part of what makes it great -- it shuns ketchup in favor of more refined dipping sauces for an extra $2 each. Black truffle aioli?
