Land Rover LRX
This hybrid biodiesel powered "cross-coupe" made its first debut at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show as a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Now, a front-wheel-drive version of the 2012 LRX crossover is reportedly also in the works. Continuing on the trend of delivering a spacious SUV-type experience -- but with greater fuel efficiency -- the Land Rover LRX would run on electric power alone at very low speeds thanks to a Integrated Starter-Generator that kicks in only when needed. Call it clever, call it clean. We just call it cool.
