A friend took me to lunch this week and introduced me to Tuscany. The decor was lovely, the atmosphere was quaint, menus were great and reasonably priced and the food was the absolute best Italian food I have had, this side of the HRBT! I had the Fettucini Cacciatore and it was absolutley to die for. It tasted home cooked and very authentic. However, my friend and I were on a one hour lunch break from work and the service was sooo slow. The restaurant was not crowded at all, actually there were only a handful of tables that were occupied at the time. Yet, we had to wait 8 minutes to be greeted, let alone seated. We had to wait about 10-15 mins to place our order, longer for our food and even longer to recieve the check when we were done! Normally, I don't complain about slow service but there were only three other occupied tables in the whole place! There was no justifiable reason to wait on things like being seated and the check! To sum it up, AWESOME food but very slow service.
Great little gem of a place, think New York neighborhood place.The name will throw you off, this is a Vietnamese place that serves Southern Vietnamese soup, seafood, very good pizza and one of the best Philly Cheese Steak subs around. Prices are good, good value. Try their Vietnamese coated shrimp. Their Pho soup is good but best google how to eat it. You need chopsticks and a spoon working together or fork and spoon working together. Basically you add over time lime, basil, peppers to the broth to semi cook it, adjusting to your taste, you fish out noodles, meat, bean spourts, dip it in Vietnamese BBQ sauce and at the end drink, spoon the broth. As I say, google how to eat it. More like picking things out of a salad. I like their steak soup but I don't care for the meatballs version. Vietnamese meatballs are cuts of meat, think large chunks of meat added to the soup, not Italian style made up of different things. This is just a matter of taste.
I SPENT A LONG TIME NOT CARING ABOUT HOW MY HAIR LOOKED, THE PRICES WERE WAY TOO HIGH FOR ME TO SPEND ON A HAIRCUT, AND I HATED ALL OF THE FANCY SALON'S INTERPRETATIONS OF WHAT MY IDEA WAS OF A HAIRCUT AND COLOR. I WAS REFERRED BY ONE OF MY FRIENDS TO SEE JODI AT TY ZALON AND IVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR ABOUT 7 YEARS NOW, I EVEN TAKE MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. THIS IS ONE OF THE PLACES WHERE THE ATMOSPHERE IS WELCOMING AND COMFORTING. CHILDREN ARE WELCOME, AND SHE LISTENS TO YOUR REQUESTS, AND IF SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT SHE WILL BE HONEST WITH YOU AND NOT LET YOU LOOK LIKE RONALD MCDONALD. THE BEST PART ARE HOW REASONABLE THE PRICES ARE. SHE IS AMAZING, AND I WOULD NEVER EVEN THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING TO TYZLON. NOW MY SISTER, AND MY MOTHER IN LAW GO TO HER. SHE IS A JEM AND A HAIRCUTTING PHENOM.
