Student services is great with their clients. First some pros, -When you call in they pick up pretty fast unless its outside of hours of operations and you leave a message. Unlike my lender you have to talk to a dumb computer for like 15 minutes before you talk to a human being. -Student Services send notifications about your account. I updated my account information with my bank and it broke on Student Services end, but they notified me within days, my lender not a single thing. Nothing from my lender until I owed a fee. -They process quickly, with updates Cons: -I don’t like how their alerts work. It seems ok now but I received alerts after I fixed my documents. -I don’t like that they are not 24/7. Since I working during the day I have to call them on my lunch and is somewhat of a hassle. It was a good thing I talked to my lender about my payment amount because I never would have thought I would be in the red for my student loans. They told me that everyone gets placed in a standard program based on how much they owe and that is what everyone has to pay. Ok, so I would not be dealing with this company had I been more responsible with my credit. I got financed for my vehicle from Alliance Acceptance Corp. right after my bankruptcy was discharged and I had proof from my previous car loan that I surrendered the vehicle. The interest rate is high at 24% but they gave me the opportunity to finance a well taken care of used vehicle. The only reason I deduct one star is because the first month's payment was drafted the day before and caused an NSF on my bank account. But when I spoke with customer service they made the correction and moving forward, I appreciate that they were willing to finance me given my situation.
