I called to cancel and reschedule my appointment , but as usual no one picks up the phone. Let message to cancel and asked for a call back to reschedule, Never got a call back. I had to call back and reschedule when I did i was told i had to pay to hold my appointment because i misses one!! What a joke I called given them plenty of time. This place is a joke !!!

Is is December, 2014 and finally, the Fox Clinic has caring and compassionate Vets that have a lot of management experience. Is is way more organized and friendly. My dog is happy!

Not worth the "lower" price. I brought my cat in for a check-up because she wasn't eating as much as she used to. I scheduled an appointment several days in advance and the woman on the phone was helpful and cordial. My appointment was for 12:15 on a Thursday. I arrived at the clinic at 12:00 because I expected there to be paperwork to be filled out. I was told to sign in. I waited about 20 minutes before I was even called to start filling out paperwork. I was slightly annoyed, but figured we'd see a doctor soon after.... I was completely wrong. The women that had brought in 3 cats AFTER me were seen and left before I was called in to see the doctor. It's now 1:15, an hour AFTER my appointment time. I tell a receptionist that if I'm not seen in the next ten minutes, I'm going to be leaving (although I recognize that it's not necessarily her fault.) 20 minutes pass (I decide to stay for the sake of my animal who is meowing furiously) and it's 1:35.... an hour and 20 minutes after the appointment .. I'm finally called in to see the doctor. At this point I was livid, but I tried to hold it back. The doctor and nurse were apologetic, and were also very kind. They answered all my questions and my cat was treated with dignity and respect. I was on my way in about 10 minutes. Was it worth the hour and 20 minute wait? No. Had it been a walk-in, I would have understood, but I had scheduled an appointment that should have been honored. They should have been staffed to keep my appointment. Worse part is, there were several families with dogs that came in right as I was being called into see the doctor, and when I came out they were being seen (which means they waited less than 10 minutes.) I will not be going back to the clinic.

Editorial review from Citysearch

I brought my 4 yr old pit bull into be spayed a month ago. Being a first time dog owner I don't have much to compare it to. But I felt it went as I expected. The staff were helpful, some were friendlier than others, the ones that I wouldn't say were friendly were just matter of fact and it was more personality, I don't feel anyone was rude. I do feel I had ask a lot of questions that they didn't anticipate my questions and give me answers, but in the end I got the info I needed, again I think it was personality. When I had an issue and had to call the direct line almost 2 weeks after the spaying I was called back by a vet and since I didn't get to my phone he had someone call me back the next business day. I always found I had to leave a message and someone would call me back in the evening. This didn't bother me that it worked differently than normal businesses. The spaying and other things my dog had done were 1/2 the price it would have been locally. I traveled an hour to get there. I am going back to do the vaccine clinic b/c I can't find anything local that can compare to their prices.

A place with a heart

I went to the Fox Memorial Clinc and saw Dr Levy for my Cat. He was very compassionate to her and my family. After seeing Dr Levy, I only had a couple more weeks with my sweet longtime companion. Because of his assurance and care, she lived out her comfortable last days.
FMC can have a little wait to see them but it was worth it. They seemed to do the best they can to get you in. The prices are very reasonable too!

This is a PRIVATE vet clinic t...

This is a PRIVATE vet clinic that only has affiliation with the CT Humane Society beciase it is next door. Do not be fooled! The Fox Memorial Clinic is a very unprofessional and mismanaged facility that is up and running because people need "cheap" vet care. But, are you putting your pet's life on the line based on poor customer service? I would say yes. No matter how educated the vet's may be you must remember...poor customer service it just the beginning for poor service altogether. Save your money....GO ELSEWHERE!

Purrfectly Caring

I have taken my healthy cats to be vaccinated and spayed at the Fox clinic over the last 7 years. I found the vet techs friendly and warm, and the vets understanding and practical. They don't try to sell you fancier food and expensive tests or treatments - I truly appreciate that!

They are very busy - I'll concede, and it is very hard to get to talk to a real live person at the desk! When I tried to make my most recent appointment last week, I ended up playing phone tag with the reception. It seemed easier just to visit them (when I was in the neighborhood) to make the appointment!

Otherwise, they are a fine team of vets, and the front desk folks work hard to keep up their good cheer and humor through their busy day!

Very nice and understanding

I was referred to Fox by an animal shelter I know. My cat has a tumor on her belly and the vets were charging tons of money to get it removed and tested for cancer. When I called Fox, I left a message explaining my situation. They called back within a few hours, were attentive and understanding, and offered various options for much less money. So far I'm very pleased with them!

No Help Provided.

There is a website for Fox .M. Clinic offering services and encouraging people to call to bring in their pets for quality affordable service, however When you call there is an answering machine where you leave a message, I left an urgent message that our little dog had a small-(quarter sized) bleeding wound from a ruptured cyst and needed to be seen-I never received a call back, I kept calling them over-and-over finally someone picked up, after I explained the urgency of the matter they said they were booked & told me to go to my previous vet-(almost 2 hours away)--but since we moved Fox Clinic is local to us and I dont understand why on their website they seem helpful, but at least in our case they were not willing to be helpful at all. They should not have turned us away and they need to start answering the phone.

one of the most useless places on hearth.

I went to fox memorial looking for help for my dog charlie and what I found was;

very dissapointing.

the receptionist was rude, and willing to engage into a fight attitude and honestly who needs that.

that is a place I will not return under any circumstance.

I drove 1hour and 45 minutes to get there and once I was there I could not get out of there fast enought..........................

the reason is the people in charge ,dont have the fist clue on how to treat the costumer.

please look for another job.
