Great location. Good for newbies and pros. They have an archery range that is fun and pro shops for all your needs. Staff was knowledgable and friendly. Just avoid the dining hall if you don't want to see stuffed hunted animals.

Their handgun/pistol gallery is the best I've ever been to. Lots of fun reactive targets to shoot. You can go through 200-500 rounds easily just playing around.
Their shotgun range is pretty impressive. Littered with thousands of sport clays, so you know people love coming there.
Their sports/bar grill is okay I guess, not spectacular. Neither is their choice of beers.
Their riffle ranges are non-existent. there is one small rifle gallery that's barely even 80 yards. not the best range for rifles, go to Angeles Shooting range for that instead.
Their range officers can be a-holes sometimes. One time I was told I could not wear a basic load bearing vest and was told to leave. Another time I was told i could not wear a holster or draw from a holster (which i kind of understand). Another time I was told I could shoot steel case because I could start a fire (in the desert?) and was told to leave after shooting only 50 rounds. I understand they are just doing their job. But that's still no excuse for the attitude.
Finally, I have mixed feelings about their Pro Shop. They've got lots of beautiful guns and accessories, but their staff is small so getting help/getting questions answered takes a really long time.

Oak Tree is not a membership club despite the name. Anyone can shoot here. They have ranges for rifles, shotguns and pistols. There's a store where you can purchase firearms, a ""restaurant"" of sorts where you can eat and watch a ballgame, and a separate store at the pistol range where you can purchase ammo/supplies and rent handguns. Staff is very helpful and the facilities are well-maintained. Oak Tree is very strict with how they run the place to ensure your safety and the safety of others. If you rent a gun you must buy your ammo from Oak Tree but it's still a pretty inexpensive way to sample different firearms (They have over 30 to rent). Rental is $10 a day but you can just have one gun at a time. Cost to shoot is $20 a day. Every staff member I?ve dealt with is very knowledgeable, helpful, and interested in making sure you have a good, safe time.
