BMW Service & Repair. Performance Tuning for Street & Track
At Schneller very few of our customers arrive at our shop atop of a flatbed truck. Occasionally some do, but it's rare. Why? We treat every car as if it were a race car. It is just as important for a service customer's car to start in the early hours of the morning at Logan Airport as it is for a race car to safely & reliably make it through a race weekend. At Schneller we keep you abreast of the services your car needs & will be needing months down the road. This perspective avoids unnecessary breakdowns & surprise repair bills.
Surprisingly, few repair facilities (including dealers) take this approach, focusing only on customer complaints and what the car was brought in for. This blinders on approach to service oftentimes leads to problems arising just after the car had been serviced. This isn't good for neither the customer nor the Shop's reputation.
If you're a first time customer at Schneller or a return customer who hasn't been at the shop for over 3 months, you'll automatically receive a free 54 item vehicle inspection. We've essentially taken our pre track Tech & Safety inspection that we give to our Race Car customers, and incorporated it with some modifications into our general service business. So whether you're in for a major service or just an oil change, you can be confident that your car was carefully looked over by a trained eye. This keeps our customer's cars reliable & ahead of the repair curve.
An established & reputable family owned business, Schneller has been tuning & servicing BMWs for some 15 years now. Given the length of time in business, local BMW drivers have surmised that if Schneller could build fast BMWs and race cars, then they could probably do one heck of a tune-up & brake job. Hence Schneller has evolved into a BMW Service Shop that has its roots set deeply in BMW performance. Area BMW drivers now reap the benefits of this evolution.
Mike Morris founded Schneller BMW Performance officially in 1994. A BMW enthusiast & BMW Car Club Member since 1984, Mike was drawn into the BMW business through his passion for tuning & tweaking BMWs, ultimately making them faster-, which is what -schneller- means in German. So, there is no -Mr. Schneller- although Mike is often addressed as such. Schneller made its appearance on the BMW Tuner Map in 1994 when Mike built, a BMW that the factory would never produce: a BMW 3 series powered by what was then BMWs most powerful street legal engine, a tuned 360HP S38 M5 engine. At the time it was one of the quickest & fastest BMWs available. Accelerating from 0-60mph in 5.25 seconds w/ a top speed of 170-180mph (170 was observed, but engine revs were still climbing & not yet at redline!) it even offered more performance than BMW's 240HP 6 cylinder M3 introduced later that year. The car was not only fast, but with a redesigned suspension & brakes it could also handle & stop as well.
