GONE INTO VICTORS SEVERAL TIMES OWNER IS VERY HELP FULL . ASSISTANCE SOMEWHAT KNOWLEDGEABLE BUT ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND TRY HARD TO HELP. SHOP IS WELL STOCKED. IF HE DOES NOT HAVE IT HE WILL GET IT FOR YOU VERY FAST. SOMETIMES HE CHARGES LESS THAN MARKED PRICE.
Met Victor on recommendation of freinds. All praise this place. Great display of RC models hang from the ceiling. Nice to see things on the shelf assembled. Good prices for a store. Knowledgable owner/operator with years of RC background. Knows products and makes professional recommendations that are helpful. Nice atmosphere with RealFlight 5.0 sim up and running for customers to fiddle with while shopping. Hope a great store like this can survive the on line big box discount houses which have zero face to face help.
I agree with the other post. This guy Victor should not be in business. For Christmas, my bought me a R.C. Helicopter. The box had DEMO on it and it was on sale. The female assistant told him it was a good learning heli. He bought it at a "sales" discount for $130. I did a search and you can get the same heli for $100 - $120. Nice "Sale". After opening the gift on Christmas I noticed that the charger "balancer" was not in the kit. I decided to return it and get a different model. So I returned to Victors the first day they reopened for business following Christmas. I told him I would like to return it or get get the model i want. He said NO. He point to the receipt and stated "All sale items are final" No exchange or refund. I asked him about the missing part and he stated that some don't come with the balancer and that I really don't need it. THAT IS NOT THE POINT! The package said it should be there and it is not. He did care and said all sales are final. He would not ever work with me to have a satisfied customer. I was not happy with his business decision. I'm glad my business is not run that way. BEWARE of buying anything "On Sale" there. If there is any problems we will not take it back. He was just state "All sale items are final".
All this guy had to due was to take the unit back and give me, at least, store credit. I would have bought the model I wanted and he would have had a satisfied customer. What he got was a negative review and lost a customer for life. Too bad, the store had potential.
This guy Victor should not be in bussiness. I bought an R.C. Glider from him becouse the hobby store at the Fremont Hub only had one of the model that I needed. The box had a dent in it, but Victors assistant told me not to worry, becouse they had opened the box to be sure everything was in perfect condition. It was taped closed, so I did not open it in the store. Upon arriving home, I opened the box. The decals on the styrofoam wings were totally wrincled, and falling off. They also had at least 5 pieces of scotch tape that had been added to try to hold the decals in place. What a mess. It never came from the factory like this I am sure. I then opened the exact same glider box I had bought from the first store. It was absolutly Perfect. This was to be two Christmas gifts. So I returned to Victors the following morning, told him I would have to return this glider, but if the other one he had on shelf was in good condition, I would just exchange it. Unfortunatly, It was all screwed up too. Again, I am sure the factory did not send him these gliders in this damaged condidtion, or he would have returned them himself. After about 20 minutes of his stalling, suggesting I buy other things from his store, etc. I said, NO. I just need my money back to buy this glider in new condidtion from another store. Which I did do, that same day. At this point, he said ; His return policy requires a 20% return fee. I must admit, at this point, I really lost it. And I told him, give me back the plane and my recipt. I will see you in court. He was unbelivable rude, called me a few names in some other language and which his employee laughed. This guy is a crook. He sells stuff he messed as if it were new, refuses to give refunds, and then trys to make a profit by burning people for a 20% return charge. Why not just sell empty boxes, or buy broken crap and sell it as new, then charge people 20% when they bring it back ??? It is exactly the same thing. There are plenty of good bussiness out the to buy from.
Why deal with this crook ???
