I would give more than 5 stars if I could! I had a great experience finding a diamond with Daniela Diamonds, and would highly recommend this place to all my family and friends. When I started the process of looking for a diamond for my fiance's engagement ring, I spoke to several people who were referred by friends and they showed me lots of diamonds, explained the difference between EGL and GIA diamonds, went into great detail about differences in quality when comparing the 4 C's. So I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for, and not only did they give me what I was looking for but absolutely exceeded my expectations. I was shocked that I could find such good value on a quality diamond - in fact this beat anything I could find on Blue Nile. It was GIA certified, and completely legit. I put down a deposit and later brought in a sample GIA cert to compare it, just to make sure everything checked out. I'm a very cautious person, and this being the biggest purchase of my life I was even more so. And I was extra cautious because I just randomly walked in off the street after meeting with a friend's jeweler in the wholesale offices above the Diamond District. I asked them to measure and weigh the diamond in front of me to make sure it matched the cert. Anything I asked, they gave me a straightforward answer, and after I made the purchase and went home to have another look at the diamond (the lighting in every jewelry store can be a little misleading) well, it was even more beautiful in natural light. Honestly, I could not be happier with my experience there. I dealt with Brian mostly and also another guy I think named Shlomi, both extremely helpful and friendly.
I was referred to Dreamstone by a co-worker who had purchased an engagement ring from them about 2 years ago. He couldn't say enough good things about the team over there so I felt comfortable giving them a try. Turns out my office is just two blocks away from them on 47 street and 5th (New York City). They showed me an impressive selection - about 12 diamonds within the specific criteria and budget I was looking for. They were very knowledgable in explaining every factor that goes into the quality and value of a diamond. When it came down to the setting I was uncertain and they reassured me that i would be able to exchange the setting should my future fiancé want something different. I picked one of the more popular solitaire settings with a 1.70 carat cushion diamond. I left a 10% deposit and paid the rest upon pickup two weeks later. The final ring came out amazing. I am thrilled and want to thank Guy and Eli at DreamStone for their remarkable work . Devon M.
A surprisingly PLEASANT experience. I never thought I’d say that about shopping for an engagement ring, which is supposed to be annoying, but these guys made it so much easier. I didn’t feel any pressure at all. I walked in, and unlike all the other stores I walked into, they talked to me like a person (not like they were shoving their product down my throat). Alik sat down with me and gave me his time, and explained what I needed to be looking for in cut, color, and clarity so that I get the most for my money. I really appreciated the honesty, and felt like he was just trying to help me and not talk me into a sale. Jon worked within my budget to find a stone, didn’t push it up a notch. I got a beautiful 2 and a quarter carat, and my gf (now fiance) said yes! She still gets compliments on it everywhere. We’ll be in next month to find her a diamond band!
