    NEW MANAGEMENT!!

    Provided by

so like ive been VP2 for the past 4-5 years. ive notice the place got a makeover and they're under new management. the food still taste GREAT!! omgg i cannot stop eating there. i go there once or twice a week and i live in central jersey so the commute is insane. i enjoy eating their soy buns and i heard there's new dishes added onto the menu; too many to try, but i made a goal to try all of them this summer. AWESOME FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE!!! LOVE THAT PLACE :)

    Deliciously reasonable vegetarian fare!

I have been eating at VP for over a decade. They are consistently the best spot for a wholesome flesh free meal.

i could eat this every night

i have never eaten anything i didn't like from here, one suggestion though: take your food to go as the atmosphere is sort of dark and gloomy the best thing on the menu is the vegetarian chicken lo mein (sooooooooooo goood!!!)

    Love it

    Provided by

I love VP2, and so do all my non-vegetarian friends. The value is unbeatable. I ALWAYS finish what's on my plate, and I'm never able to finish a meal here - so I always get to take lunch home with me. The imitation meats are all great. The only thing I've had that was so-so was the cold vegetarian duck appetizer, which was a little bland. The service can be a little slow & rude.

    Slow and RUDE service tonight!

    Provided by

I have been going to VP2 for more than 20 years and for some reason, the service is just getting slower and slower. Plus, the hostess came over and nearly kicked us out of our seats at the end of our meal, before we were done with our drinks, had gotten our check or had finished our conversation, which she could clearly see we were having, since her podium was 2 feet away from. It was incredibly RUDE and I was dumbfounded. My friend said ""It took forever to even get waited on or get water at the beginning and now we're enjoying the end of our meal."" I never fill these out, so I hope someone (even the restaurant itself) takes this to heart. I love the food, but the service needs help.

    Excellent vegetarian/vegan reastaurant

    Provided by

This place has a convienent location and has plenty of options for all tastes! Their mock meats are EXCELLENT and from the few times I have been there, I don't really have any complains. I liked VP2 before I went vegetarian and now that I'm vegan, I love it!!!

Great food with the best value

They added some pretty cool items to their ever expanding menu. The BBQ ribs is mouth watering and finger liiiiicking good. Highly recommended..Beer battered portobello is another must try. This place is still the bomb.

    Better than ever!

I've been coming to VP2 for years, their menu is just exceptional and expanding. love their citrus chicken and chicken and fries. I wish they bring back the Taro Fish, my all time favorite. Staff are friedly, and you get the best value for your money. I've always recommend this place to my friends when they come visit the Big Apple.

    you've got to be kidding

    Provided by

This place ranks among the worst I've been to. Soup was a gelatinous goopy mess with a really vague flavor to it. Our main dishes were also soggy messes. Overcooked, unflavorful vegetables in yet the same goopy sauce. Unbelievable. I can't understand how it got such great reviews. Service was fast and professional, which was the only highlight. There is definitely no ambience to the place, though it trys. Also - what is the deal with it being a self proclaimed ""ZEN"" restaurant?!? good grief.

    it IS a vegetarian paradise!

    Provided by

We are traveling with a couple who believe in meat 3 meals a day, but since tey;ve never been to NYC and we had, we took them where we wanted to go. We (my husband and I - both vegetarians) and they, were all happy. The other guy, avid carnivore, ate every bite. The portions are very large, and the meat substitutes were very convincing. The menu has a varied selection, it was hard to choose. I like the location too, Greenwich Village is fun to walk around.
