HTN Communications, LLC, formerly Hughes Television Network, is the longest tenured provider of sports television and radio transmission services in North America, packaging transmission services for the broadcast, cable and radio rights holder. Originally established in 1956, HTN Communications unveiled a new state-of-the-art Technical Operations Center ( TOC ) in their New York City headquarters in 2009. The completion of the fiber optic transmission facility features rapid, end-to-end provisioning for on-network locations, providing live high definition transmission access from every Major League Baseball ( MLB ), National Basketball Association ( NBA ), and National Hockey League ( NHL ) sports venue in the United States. In addition, HTN Communications also provides service to numerous entertainment events, concerts and news media outlets. HTN specializes in tailoring any service to meet your specific demands. Each transmission component is selected to provide maximum efficiency with the highest quality, in order to provide our customers with the broadest range of services offering flexibility, reliability and efficient pricing. Other services available include C Band and KU Band international and domestic uplink, downlink, satellite capacity available to meet any customer requirement. Highly respected as the pioneer of the sports telecommunications industry, HTN Communications gained notoriety over 50 years ago by conceiving a cost effective means of broadcasting Major League Baseball away games to their home cities. HTN Communications is also the last privately owned rights holder of the NFL. Due to their innovative thinking, HTN Communications is responsible for the scrambling and securing of the backhaul, which ultimately led to professional sports leagues implementing on-demand television packages such as the Sunday Ticket, Extra Innings and Center Ice.
