I started going to Nadia Vassell early Spring to get my relaxed hair done. I read mixed reviews before my appointment which should have been a red flag but figured it was just a fluke- I should have listened to the poor reviews. My past visits Nadia Vassell salon were just okay. Not the exact hairstyle that I really wanted but figured within time Nadia would get it right. She is probably better at doing weaves because it does not require that much skill.
My last and final visit to the salon, Nadia Vassell had her assistant shampoo my hair. While I was getting my hair shampooed Nadia walked by with a container filled with a white creamy substance that was either bleach or relaxer. She dropped it on the floor and some of it splashed onto me. Luckily I thought, I was wearing a smock so it did not get on my clothing only onto the smock which she wiped off. It wasn't until I arrived home that I realized my dress was bleached stained in the exact same location the white cream landed. The dress was ruined and no longer available for purchase another one. I quickly brought the matter to Nadia's attention to see if she could possibly reimburse me for the dress or something. It was brand new, and that was my first and only time wearing it which is why I contacted her. She apologized for the incident and then implied that I must have bumped into her tray with the bleach and would not compensate me. I explained in detail the steps that led to the incident, and even sent her a photo of the dress stained. However, she still insisted it was my fault that I bumped into her tray and offered a comp deep conditioner treatment or trim???? I was sitting in the shampoo chair! Since the cost of the dress was worth more than a $25 deep conditioner I suggested a free shampoo would be fair. She NEVER responded. What business owner would ignore a regular customer?? What business owner would try to blame the customer for their mistake? NADIA VASSELL would. I was disgusted. I left it alone, and decided not to return to Nadia Vassell Salon. I have continued to received emails from Nadia Vassell Salon requesting me to schedule another appointment- was she kidding???? Why would I ever return?
Today, I sent Nadia Vassell an email kindly requesting her to remove me from her mailing list. I also expressed how disappointed I was in her service. She was nasty about it and still insists the stain was my fault. She has poor customer service skills which makes her a lousy business owner. I have mentioned this experience to friends and family and they all agreed NADIA VASSELL did not handle the matter professionally. Her offer of a $25 treatment and blaming me is insulting.
