Recently moved to Manhattan and have been exploring the kosher restaurants on the Upper West Side. The one that has definitely stuck out the most so far is Talia's Steakhouse. Not only was my lamb burger delicious (and HUGE!), but there was a really great jazz duo playing live and the restaurant had a very romantic vibe. Great place to bring a date. Was this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse

Talia's Steakhouse and Bar is the only Glatt Kosher restaurant with a large sidewalk cafe and a full bar on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
For 10 years, Talia's Steakhouse has continuously reinvented the strictly glatt kosher restaurant as a hip, modern place, where everyone will feel welcome: from Chabad and Satmer Chasidim to Modern Orthodox, secular Jews, non-Jewish customers and all other ethnic groups, Talia's has something for everyone. With so many repeat customers and fans, it's no wonder that Talia's Steakhouse has built such a "Haute" reputation. As one customer puts it: " You oughtta be the best, most progressive-still-frum..."
Talia's appeal reaches far outside of its Upper West Side location with its two unique dinner and brunch menus offering a gourmet selection of prime rib, filet mignon, duck, whole branzino, homemade hummus, Belgian waffles, shakshouka, non-dairy tofu cheeseburger and more. Where else can you sip a cocktail at midnight while catching a cool breeze at Talia's Outdoor Cafe or enjoy a ball game on a large screen TV while eating a delicious, mouthwatering kosher ribeye.
Talia's is a great spot to take your wife or girlfriend out to dinner. Enjoy the romantic atmosphere, dimly-lit, candles and fresh roses on each table, mellow live music and a wonderful blend of American and Middle-Eastern cuisines. She will be talking about her special evening for weeks to come. In addition, Saturday nights all year round, Talia's transforms into a romantic lounge where people from all over come to reconnect with old friends and meet new and exciting people.

They claim to be a steakhouse yet their meat was expensive and not good. We asked for a medium fillet mignon which was well done. In addition they forgot part of our order and when we asked for the bill it was incorrect. Same thing happened to the couple next to us, we swore never to go againWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
Celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Talia’s Steakhouse last night. We live in Central Jersey so we don’t travel too often for kosher restaurants in Manhattan. Our expectations were set high for a night in the city. Suffice to say, Talia’s exceeded our expectations. There was live music and we got to sit in their sidewalk café and enjoy the beautiful weather. We all shared the Fry Trio basket to start, which was a gr... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
I love Talia's for their weekly Friday night Shabbat dinners. So great to have a kosher restaurant in Manhattan to go to when you're in a squeeze for a Shabbat meal when most kosher restaurants are closed. For someone like me with more of an Eastern European background, they sure have a unique menu with strange sounding dishes such as moussaka and sambousak, but they are absolutely delicious. Plenty of food for a rea... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
When I first walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with smiles, candles, and roses on each table. I got a lamb shank and my friend got the prime rib, both were cooked to perfection. The vairety of middle eastern food was incredible, and the service was sublime. The live music just topped off the night for us. I would highly recomend Talia's to anyone wanting a great food, and in general, a great night out.Was this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
After a long day of shopping with a fussy six year old and an even fussier four year old, I knew if I didn’t get food in them soon, I was gonna be in a giant headache of trouble. Talia’s was the closest kosher restaurant, so I decided it was a good time to check it out. Of course, when we got there, my kids wanted nothing but hot dogs. This made me nervous as I was looking over the menu and saw no option for hot dogs... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse
