Success! Thanks for posting your review of Tagine Dining Fine Cuisine. You’ve done the world some good today.

food not so good and extremely pricey !

wow, i went there with a friend who wnated me to try a differnt moroccan restaurant ( I love moroccan food) and the restaurant was beautiful (set-up) but the food was just average and for such a small portion, the food was extremely pricey ! Was very disapointed and for sure i will never go back !
I'm gonna stick to my moroccan of choice : zerza. At least, the food there is reasonably priced and much much better.

Overpriced, overpriced, overpriced. Yeah, and not worth it.

I tried this place for a pre-Broadway meal with a friend. We'd seen the reviews and decided to try Tagine anyway b/c I'd bought a $25-off certificate from Restaurant-com or something like that, and thought it would be a nice bite beforehand and way to try a new place.

We ordered a tray of three mezzo appetizers ($18) that wasn't bad, but wasn't worth the $. She had a glass of Argentinian red wine the waitress su

our large group was treated generously

unlike the other reviewer, we booked a birthday for 20 diners and a larger party for drinks. We were seated immediately and I had spoken with Toni and organized a prix fixe family style dinner which was a great idea. The portions were large and generous. More importantly the cuisine, every dish, was absolutely mouthwatering yummy. The drinks were generous, strong and well priced as compared to other restaurant whe... view more

Extremely Pricey. Large Groups might get overpriced.

I have been to this place 3 times. 1st two times took a friend and had a great time, we just went for a couple drinks and hookah (which are $25 each). My 3rd time I recommended it for my friend's Bday party. And service was not attentive, we were grossly overcharged! Be very careful and read your bill carefully if going in large groups. On our receipt we had 2 Watermelon martinis for $90, after my friend complai... view more

Lush environment & tasty food

It is rare that in midtown Manhattan you will find a place which is able to remove you from the noise and stress associated with the heart of NYC. Tagine, however achieves this with ease. \r
Their main dish (for which the restaurant is named after) is tasty and comes out sizzling with a great home-cooked taste. Be aware, since so much goes into preparing this dish it takes a bit of time to prepare. The lamb vers

Excellent Dancer, mediocre food

I had made reservations for Tagine for a friend's 49th birthday, interested in seeing a belly dance performance. The space is rather small and funky, but cozy, with lots of paintings on the walls and interesting lamps - in these days of upscale chic it was refreshing to experience a more eclectic environment - more like 1970's-1980's East Village. A rather curt waitress/hostess seated us and gave us menus. We wer... view more

Budget Friendly, It Is Not!

I will start by saying that this restaurant was surprisingly small. I was there to attend a birthday celebration that had a guest list of about 20. Entering the restaurant, I was concerned that the cozy environment wouldn?t sufficiently accommodate such a large party. Luckily none of us had to eat out on the sidewalk or in the kitchen. \r
The next bit of shock came when we took a look at the menu. This place is pric

Entertainment, good food.

The food here is pretty good, it is different, if you aren't into trying new things, this may not be the place for you. chicken was very tender and well cooked, comes in a tagine (cone shaped) p*t.\r
entertainment is great, have belly dancers.\r
this place is quite pricy, but definitely worth a visit.

Great Service and Food

I just held a surprise party and it was fabulous. From my first meeting with Toni (which included a food tasting!) to confirming the menu and drinks everything went smoothly. She didn't mind me calling several times to ask a variety of questions. The space was great - the service terrific! We ended up using the downstairs area - it was extrmely comfortable with the different seating areas. At first I was unsure ... view more

A Midtown Gem

We had reservations somewhere else on 9th Avenue, but they overbooked, so we began walking south on 9th and came across a lovely hostess outside of this unassuming exterior, but the music sounded great, so we entered, and all I can say is WOW! We were promptly seated by this smiling young hostess/waitress, and immediately given water ( which is rare in NYC) and delicious fluffy bread with some sort of dip. We actua... view more
