Took my 2003 jeep liberty for an inspection and mark was very helpful in explaining the process and failed items. He gave me an estimate, but DID NOT pressure me to do the work at his shop. When i brought the car back to be re-inspected he put on my new license plates and was very considerate even though i had the work done at my cousins shop in nj.

I took the car in for a routine annual DMV inspection. As long as I was there, I asked for an oil change and lube. Unlike nearly every other place, which charges a flat fee, Steven & Francine's charged me a flat fee PLUS labor for the job (not including the inspection). When I saw the bill, I told him that it was bush league to do that but since I was in a hurry I wasn't going to make a stink. The look I got back looked like he knew I had caught him trying to see if I would notice. He tried to offer me a deal for the next time I came in, but I told him I wouldn't be back because of the above experience.

We first found Steven & Francine's when we belatedly noticed that our inspection sticker was about to be out of date & went to the yellow pages. Mark (our contact) helped us right away and did what was needed to get us on the road. He explained other stuff that needed to be done but did not pressure us in any way. We drive an old car and early in the year decided to do some major repairs to keep the car going for hopefully a couple of years. Just last week the egine problem light alerted us that there was a problem. Mark took the car through all the tests needed to ascertain just what the problem was, fixed the problem and, amazingly refused to bill us! Unbeliveable! Ask for Mark.

My experience was very positive, Mark was helpful and honest about my vechile needs and did not push to have work done immedicately that could be put off for a while, which was a refreshing change from what I have experienced at other dealers.

The guy that works there yelled at me when I was 20 minutes late picking up my car. He got me so flustered that I left my grocery bags there. They are supposed to close at 6pm and I said I'd be there around 5pm. When I showed up at 5:20, he yelled at me cause he wanted to get out and close the shop early. I should have just left without paying him the $365 he overcharged me. \r \r

I didn't realize my inspection sticker was about to expire until the day before it was up. Of course this was Sunday morning. I did a search and couldn't find a single shop to get an inspection. When I called Steven and Francine's amazingly somone picked up the phone! I was able to make an appointment for first thing the next morning. By noon on Monday I had a brand new inspection sticker! Great place!

I own a vintage Mustang and went in to see them a few years ago about doing work on my car. Based on the number of vintage cars they had in the shop, I figured they must know what they're doing if people trust them. After having my car for almost a month and not being able to give me an estimate on the cost, I took the car back.\r \r A couple years down the road, I needed to have a front end alignment and a few other minor repairs done. An original quote of a few hundred dollars turned into well over a thousand. They claimed to need to fix other things which had nothing to do with the alignment and other repairs.\r \r After arguing with them about what they did (and didn't do), they ""cut me a deal"" and let me go with all their supposed repairs for only $1000. After taking the car on the roadtrip that these repairs were to prepare for, I realized that the alignment was in fact NOT done (because you could visibly see the tires on an angle), and the other repairs were shoddy.\r \r I got ripped off for a thousand dollars. I'll NEVER go back there or recommend anyone else take their car there.\r \r Be warned.

for the past month or so, i've been hearing a strange noise from the engine and noticed the suv was not handling the same. i brought the vehicle to the dealer and after a hefty bill, the problem was still not solved. a co-worker reccommended Steven and Francine's Complete Auto on 36th street and i decided to give them a shot. i drove in without an appointment, and they took my vehicle in. they were friendly, polite, and accomodating to my schedule( i work unusal hours). not only did they solve my problem, but they were kind enough to explain it to me in laments terms. and the bill was Very reasonable as opposed to the dealer who took my money and did not solve my problem. i would highly reccommend this auto repair shop to everyone!!! The staff was knowledgeable, polite and accomodating. Never again will i use a dealer repair. Steven and Francine's Complete Auto has my business.

Overall a good expereince. Guys at this place clearly know what they are talking about. Brought my car to the dealer a few months ago for a problem, supposedly they fixed it. Then my car broke down, S&F was the closest shop so I got towed there. These guys were able to CORRECTLY diagnose my car and actualy fix it without breaking my bank. Everyone was nice and I got lots of updates while the car was being diagnosed and repaired. Would definitely bring my car back.

I have been taking my car to S&F's for about three years (old plce in the 60s and new place in the 30's) and have always been met with great service. The folks are always very nice and typically everying gets done in timely and complete fashion. The only downside is that the rates are really not much less than what you would pay at the dealer, but I haven't found their service to be anything less than what I would get at a dealer anyway and it's rarely a problem to get an appointment (which can be a huge plus if you've ever tried getting one at a dealer in the city). I would recommend to anyone needing speedy and efficient service in the city.
