Best Experience in NYC

I went to Staghorn Steakhouse earlier this week at 4pm while visiting NYC on business. Technically they were closed and didn't start serving dinner until 5pm but the manager took pity on me and let me be seated and opened the kitchen. He even proceeded to wait on me himself and made exceptions to the menu for me. All totaled I had at least four people waiting on me hand and foot. It was the best experience I've had ... view more

VERY RUDE

Worst experience ever!!!!Stay away!!

Went there friday Febr 4th with 2 other friends,the manager was really annoyed that we had the ""ba''lls"" to ask him to have a table for 3,the hostess was so rude and so uneducated(Albanian Mgt,Albanian Hostess),she almost threw the menus in our faces.The wait staff was really nice,food not to great,restaurant really beautiful,but i don`t know how in the world the owners don`t see what`s going on in that place!The m... view more

Waist of time and money!!! Awful service & food!!!

Worst service I have ever experienced. Rude and does not care less. Menu is very poor and basic. Do not go there, even if it is the only place open in the area (which is never the case)...IT IS BAD

Avoid this place

I headed to the Staghorn based on the 4.5 star rating. it must have changed hands recently. The new owners have made it as dead as doornail. I was the ONLY person in the restaurant on a Thursday night at 8 pm. Drinks were $12 each!!! I drank my drink and left before ordering any food -- the owners appear to not understand the NYC market at all. I would avoid this place at all costs.
