The Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan provides Jewish-based instruction to students in kindergarten through grade eight. It operates several academic departments, such as language arts, mathematics, science, business education and social studies. The school additionally offers classes in Spanish, humanities, art, music and physical education. The Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan has a parent-teacher association that organizes sports events, appreciation functions, music concerts, picnics, gift-wrap sales and other fundraising activities. It also organizes field trips and provides transportations services. The school is located in New York City and is a member of the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York.
