I moved to NYC last year and the hardest thing I had to cope with when leaving my small town was leaving my barber who was cutting my hair for 5 years. I had a miserably time finding a place where I could get a great cut and feel relaxed. It took some time, but I finally found the place I was looking for in Salvatore Macri Hair Salon. Don't let the title fool you, its some glitzy high end snob fest where the barbers think they are stylists to the stars. They welcome new clients and make them feel right home. The atmosphere is warm, the classical music soothing, the setup is classy, and the haircuts are outstanding. Attention to detail and perfectionists would be the best way to characterize the barbers. Its worth every penny and I will not be getting haircuts anywhere else for as long as this place is around.
