Don't know how they make the crust so thin, yet not too thin that it will all fall apart. Good pizza (tasty add-ons) and a great place to hang. Friendly service.

I'm not usually a thin-crust kind of girl. I like Sicilian slices with lots of dough, but Posto always looked cute so I decided to give it a whirl and I'm glad I did. For thin crust, I was blown away by the flavors and savoriness (is that a word?) of the pizza. I also loved that you could get a personal size pizza, you could build your own pizzas (like salad places in the city where they start you at a base price and your'e charged for each topping/add-in), and that you can get a 9 grain organic crust for just 50 cents more.

Called to order a pizza delivered on 19 July 2009 at 9pm. The bitchy woman put me on hold then disconnected me after taking my order. 30 minutes later, I called back to check on my order, she had no order then informed me that they stopped delivering and hung up.\r you know what there are a lot of places that want my business, obviously, they don't need it.\r \r

A slice of Italy on the east side! If you're looking for great pizza and good red wine, this is a must visit.

Posto has the greatest pizza. It is consistently delicious and I find myself ordering from here at least once a week. I'm hooked! Their salads are simple yet always fresh and tasty. If you add a little truffle oil to their Formagio Bianco pizza, it is outstanding! Service is always straight-forward (no bells & whistles & doting here) if you eat in the restaurant, but they have delivery too so you can have the Posto experience at home. Yum!

Delicous Bruschetta and great pizza too. The cheese on the pizza was slightly strong for my taste, but most people would like it. Crunchy delicious crusts. All sorts of pizza toppings offered. Funny, friendly and quick service. Quaint fun and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended=-)

I was thrilled when Posto moved to my neighborhood, I was already traveling to the East Village joint Gruppo by the same owners. They did not miss a step - great pizza, fantastic salads and slightly more room then the cramped Village location. I love to sit outside at the picnic tables, even if it is a bit loud with the Second Avenue traffic. When you sit outside you do need to stay on top of the service...they seem to forget about you, but always with a smile. Love the toppings list, but have learned that less is more, you may find yourself so wide-eyed on your first visit that you want to put TOO much on your pizza. Keep it simple. Enjoy!

I find the thin crust here can be truly excellent, although somewhat inconsistent (I've ocassionally been served a pizza with cold or uncooked ingredients when they're crowded). However, the service is consistently bad and the staff has a bad case of attitude... order in (they are fast and the delivery staff is very pleasant) rather than going and hope for the best, because if you do get their best, it will be great....\r \r \r

I'm not a big pizza fan but this place is my new favorite spot for pizza. the crust is really thin and you don't feel like you're stuffed after eating a 9' personal pan. my usual combination is pepperoni and pineapples (I know I know but its good damnit). the plain marinara is also good as well. try it! the service is not so good tho.

Best Pizza in New York! The ingredients are fresh and always just how you want it. As an FYI-- there are 2 other sister pizza places (Gruppo in the East Viiage and Vezzo in Murray Hill) that are owned by the same people.

We were here last night for the first time and it was fantastic! The pizza is super thin and crispy, and they have a huge variety of toppings. The salads are large and fresh (my boyfriend and I shared a salad and it was plenty for both of us), we had the spinach with goat cheese and it was quite good. They also have great prices on wine, you can get a decent bottle for about $20. The waitress was a little inattentive, but they were completely packed and she was running around like crazy so it's not as though she was being lazy. Overall it was very very good, we will definitely go back.

The notion of the bartenders/waiters at Posto being rude or unprofessional is laughable. I have been going to Posto since I moved to NYC and the service has been impeccable, and the staff could not have been friendlier. Once when there was no seating immediately available for my relatives and me they served us free wine while we waited at the bar; I didn't even ask. Their thin-crust pizza is cheap, delicious, and comes with creative toppings, but their appetizers like bruschetta, though I don't see them ordered often, are good and go very well with wine. Several times I have gone to Posto alone with a newspaper or magazine and ended up in lengthy conversations with newfound friends--not typical in Manhattan. This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant in New York.

RE: the ""Rude Waiter / Bartender"" review by ""yellowbug"":\r I was there that same night as these girls, & as they left raving drunk they threatened to write a review so I wanted to see if they really did. It's a small place, & I was sitting at the bar in the middle of the action, so I will tell the REAL story.\r These women had half the space of the back for a large party, & there was a group of 8 waiting a very long time at the bar next to me. Long after they had finished their meal, the waiter offered to buy these 4 women one of their bottles of wine if they would move to the bar to finish it, & they agreed and sat next to me. 15 minutes later, they complained to him that they hated the bar & wanted to move to another table. When he made an effort to clear another table for them, they said they didn't want that one, & just wanted to leave & wanted their other bottle of wine free too. He went to check with the manager, during which time I asked the girl next to me why they were doing that; she said, ""We just want another bottle of wine free"".\r The manager came over to talk to them, & they said they just wanted to leave, & didn't want to pay for the wine they had ordered, since they weren't going to drink it anyway. He agreed & and took it off the check. But in fact, once they got their wine free, they stayed another hour drinking it, getting drunk. Then one of the girls asked for another glass of wine, even though they'd made a big production about leaving an hour before. Basically, they tried to scam the restaurant for free alcohol. Then Todd the waiter politely called them out on their scam, so they got nasty & left.\r All of us at the bar cheered Todd for that, because these girls were obnoxious, drunk and rude.\r So I've learned two things in my experience at Posto:\r 1) POSTO is delicious & its service is cool and professional.\r 2) Don't believe everything you read in these reviews, above all those written by ""yellowbug"".

Have you ever been asked to get up from your table before dessert so another party could sit down? Well, neither had we until we came to Posto. An obnoxious waiter/bartender named Todd asked us to sit at the small bar not conducive to having a conversation with four people after we had just ordered 2 bottles of wine, so another party could sit down. After sitting at the bar he refused to serve us another glass of wine because we questioned his prior actions of asking us to leave our first table. NEVER GO HERE!!! It was the worst experience I have ever had!!!! TODD should not be working with customers!!!

I have eaten a lot of pizza in this city, I can appreciate the differences in all, and I think that this is the best. Super thin crust with just enough burnt on the bottom. Great selection of toppings but even the plainest one with just cheese and sauce is outstanding. They are super friendly when you call to order delivery, and they deliver fast. They are also super friendly when you dine in, and it has a cute little Italian restaurant atmosphere. Its cool without really even trying to be cool. But it's all about the pizza anyway, which is outstanding.

I love this place. the thin-crust pizzas are delicious, the salads are super fresh, staff is frirendly and prompt, and prices are reasonable. I've been here on dates, with groups of friends, and solo for a quick slice/glass of wine. everyone I bring here comments on what a great neighborhood spot it is and wants to come back again. after Posto it's hard to go back to regular, heavy, cheesy slices. and since it's thin crust, you don't feel as guilty when you finish almost the whole pie.

It's very old New York with tiny tiled floor, oak bar with old fashioned stools, leather banquettes, real authentic charm. NOT the Disney pre-fab kind. But most importantly, the food is deee-lish! Service is fast and friendly. And they have one of my favorite desserts - brownie ala mode.
