Dr. Beer is a Board Certified Internist specializing in general internal medicine, preventive healthcare and Functional Medicine. He is also Board Certified in Holistic Medicine. Dr. Beer has been in private practice since 1981 and is on staff at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Beer is a graduate of Columbia College and New York Medical College. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College. He has advanced training in Functional Medicine, nutrition and Integrative Medicine. He is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner by the Institute for Functional Medicine Dr. Beer and his practice believe in tailoring treatment to patients' individual needs and integrate both state of the art conventional care as well as functional assessments of chronic, complex health problems.
