REVIEW FROM A MAGAZINE EDITOR
1) This place does not work. I have been going religiously (every six weeks, as they recommend) for about two years and still have plenty of hair. When I recently brought this up to someone there, she told me I might have a genetic deformity that makes my hair too thick to remove and that I might need to be on hormones to fix it. Um, Excuse me?
2) They are the pushiest people on earth. Literally, from the moment you get behind closed doors, one of them is trying to push you into buying a new package. Saying you're not interested doesn't work. Telling them you're not having good results and dont want to invest even more money doesn't work. They're like fembots, they just keep asking why you don't want another package. When you try to steer the conversation to another topic, they get confused and before long, they are at it again. ""So, um, you should really get another package. We're having a one day only sale today."" I have been told about this same ""One day only sale"" about 30 times.
3) True story: Once, I had barely even taken my coat off when the manager (a very pushy brunette) blurted this at me: ""Do you get microdermabrasion?"" I said no. She goes, ""Well you need it! You should buy a package."" I told her I wasn't interested. Her response: ""Why not? I really think you should.""
I am a magazine editor at a national women's publication. I have tried a lot lof services in this city and I truly believe this place is the worst. Run, don't walk, from Laser Cosmetica!
PS - There is no doubt in my mind the ""positive"" reviews here are written by Laser Cosmetica staff. I have SEEN them writing them from behind the front desk!
