Cooking with Julie!
At the end of the class, children will be happy to taste their own creations (we never premake projects; each child will receive whatever it is they actually created) and the amazing cause and effect relationship of cooking will be sure to impress them! Cooking with Julie (the founder/owner of school) includes lots of sensory play (think bins of cornstarch, flour, cornmeal, or whatever we happen to be working with that day) where we encourage children to touch, feel and squish to their hearts content. These classes are 'hands-on' as we work with children on chopping, mixing, combining, and introduce kitchen tools like whisk, spatula, blender, and mixer! Classes will cover cooking safety and children will be encouraged to get messy! After a short period of simple free play and discussion of the tools and ingredients of the day, children will complete a simple baking or cooking project (sometimes savory, sometimes sweet)!
