Had a similar experience at the Janovic on 3rd Ave and 67th St.
We waited on the line for 20 minutes during a busy lunch-hour rush. Only two people behind counter. When we finally neared the front of the line, we heard one of the salespeople tell the customer in front of us THAT THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE WASN'T WORKING, and that he didn't know when it would be fixed. He could have saved ALL of us a lot of time if he'd told us that earlier. Unacceptable service for a busy Manhattan location. I won't try going there again.

I recently renovated my apartment and bought several gallons of paint. Don't EVER go to Janovic to buy Benjamin Moore. I bought two gallons of paint from Benjamin Moore on first visit, a flat custom white color and a semi-gloss white color.
Guess what, Janovic charges $33 a gallon for a gallon of Benjamin Moore flat and $39 for a gallon of Benjamin Moore semi-gloss. I then went to another Benjamin Moore dealer. They charged only $25 for same gallon of flat and $29 for a gallo of semi gloss.
Word of advice... Don't go to Janovic for paint.

I am having a similar experience that another reviewer had. I ordered my blinds which were promised for rush delivery. Over a month later when they arrived, they were the wrong blinds! I have no idea if the measurements were right because I wouldn't let the sub-contractor install them when it was apparent they weren't the right model.
To make things worse, after speaking with my sales rep and the store manager, they do not want to take responsibility for their mistake (""Sorry, there is nothing I can do""). Now that they have my money (paid up front), they don't feel they need to resolve the situation. It's just very frustrating. It seems my only recourse is to dispute the charge on my credit card and perhaps even find an attorney. Janovic has taken what was supposed to be a fun experience and turned it into HELL.

I paid to have the measurements done so there would be no errors. Well, the blinds arrived not only was the valance the wrong size but so were the blinds! My sales rep forgot to put in the replacement order. Then, 5 weeks later I finally received the replacement blinds, but no valance. It has now been 2 months and nothing!! Won't refund my money nothing! DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!
