What better way to spend New Years Eve than on the penthouse rooftop of one of New York's Best Hotels! Choose between 3 different breathtaking rooms to celebrate in, each with their own bar. Access to a separate VIP lounge is available too. Certain NYE packages have already Sold Out so hurry and get your NYE '12 ticket to this beautiful hotel rooftop, before it's too late!

Let me just start off by saying that if you are a person of color, then dont bother coming to Plunge at the Gansevort Hotel. The Story: My friends and I were coming to celebrate the birthday of two dear friends. Once we finally made it to the front of the line, we were told that in order to enter as a group of 10 that we would need to purchase 3 bottles. After a few brief moments of utter confusion, we stepped off the line to figure out how to continue enjoying the evening. Looking over at the front of the line, a young lady in a red dress began pulling people in the line to come in with no questions about bottle service, reservation etc. Once she noticed I was looking, she and her other ""helpers"" began calling for couples. The majority of my group were females with the exception of 3 males. My friends decided to break up and come in one by one instead however I decided to stay off the line to observe this ""selection process."" I watched as the lady in red step behind my friend and her husband to grab a white couple to come in. Of course my friends respond by saying ""are you just going to ignore us""? Apparently two black people standing in front of the line did not appear ready with ID's when two white people behind them were.... I decided that I wanted to test this selection process for myself and hopped back on the line. My boyfriend and I were finally at the front of the line ID in hand and the lady in red points to two white patrons behind us to come in. Like us ""they did not have a reservation, they did not buy a bottle, and we were both following the dress code."" I have 0 tolerance for disrespect so I decided to walk in as she pulled back the tape. She then says to me ""not you."" My boyfriend and I walked in despite her protest with no other issue for the rest of the evening. Walking into this establishment, I quickly realized that the ONLY people of color that the Plunge lounge at the Gansevort hotel want are the one working hourly wages as bouncers and the help. Also as an establishment, their presentation is a major fail. The music is terrible (and I found it surprising that they played Beyonce, Rhianna and music from other artist of color) The drinks are weak and they dont sell their tables which leads me to believe that their whole attempt at being ""exclusive"" is a complete farce. Their is no cover charge because they are trying to make money at the bar. they are trying to make money at the bar because no one is dumb enough to buy a table for $600-$1,000 and even more so there is no cover charge because the entire Plunge experience is a FAIL and they know it. Dont bother.

It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

The view of NYC was very impressive, as was the decor. It's a very classy bar that my girlfriends and I had a great time at. I was debating giving this lounge a 5 star rating, but our waitress was a bit rude. The bar staff was very friendly though, and we were having such a great time that we were able to ignore the waitress and enjoy the atmosphere and good drinks!

Was great when it first opened, but the crowd has become really trashy. If you like to hang out with the Jersey Shore crowd, then you'll enjoy the atmostphere.

HAD MY BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE......WHAT A MISTAKE!!!! MUSIC WAS SOOOO LOW, STAFF WAS RUDE, MANAGER WAS RUDE ( A WHITE OLD MAN AND A TAN SKINNED MAN), GUYS WERE TRYING TO HIT ON ME AND MY FRIENDS...NO SECURITY AROUND, AFTER I COMPLAINED THAT THERE WERE MEN HITTING ON ME AND MY FRIENDS, THE MANAGER SIMPLY SAID"" OK DONT WORRY ABOUT IT"" AND SHRUGGED ME OFF EVEN AFTER I FOLLOWED HIM TO GET SOME SECURITY AROUND MY TABLE.....NEVER AGAIN!!! THIS PLACE IS ALL TALK AND NO BITE...FOOD WAS TERRIBLE AS WELL. POOL WASNT OPEN EVEN AFTER THEY TOLD ME IT WOULD BE OPEN. NOT-SO-BRIGHT WAITRESS CAME TO MY TABLE ONLY 2X AFTER BEING THERE FROM 9-3AM AND I HAD TO GIVE HER A 20% TIP...SO UNFAIR AND NOT WORTH MY TIME AND MONEY EVER AGAIN!!! PLS BEWARE!!!!!!!!

My company took us here for a Happy Hour after work on Wed night. It was kind of empty and actually good because we did have a big group. They have great cocktails but lack in the beer selection. The lounge has indoor lounge area within the glass window room while there is also an outdoor terrace section without roofing. It has a great view of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan. Their spicy French fries are to die for. Also, the waygu sliders are great with some sushi ginger inside... What a great concept! The food or drink here is not cheap though. It definitely is one of the Meatpacking hot spot.

I decided to try Exhale when I got an email from Rue La La- I usually only go to Soho Sanctuary for my massages and facials. I would never pay full price- I had a pretty poor experience. The amenities are not great- steam room is dingy and doesn’t work well; water is served out of paper cups. The staff was a little unprofessional- they were all hanging around in the main area talking and laughing, and several kept running into the locker room. I walked into one on her cell phone right in front of the locker room entrance. This is a distraction when you’re trying to relax and have a peaceful time. Lastly, all the rooms are in a pretty noisy area-right next to the hair salon and the whirlpool area. Again, all of this detracts from what is supposed to be a peaceful experience. And the services were so-so- my facialist did not provide feedback as requested and the masseuse, while clearly good and well trained, was a little too rough in her manner for me. Really, I would just go somewhere else. For the cost, there are plenty of other high quality experiences in the city.

This is a great place if you have the money. Lets face it people if your traveling to NYC your bound to spend a bundle. This place is a little pricey but its an amazing Hotel, with a pool and an amazing roof top bar with all the amenities you've ever wanted. They treat you like your royalty and why not your spending a pretty penny but this is the place to stay if your in the city thats for sure. I feel like it has a younger crowd and not only does it have one of the hottest night spots in the city but there are bars and clubs all around the area.

It's way too crowded, I can never move when I go. Bottle service is slow and the staff is rude, no matter how much you spend. They don't treat people in VIP the right way. The main bar is over crowded and the balcony is too narrow. The crowd is definitely older.

Have been at the place many times before and liked it, but the last visit spoiled everything. \r \r Came there last tuesday, my friend were leaving next day for another country, so we wanted to have a lil party. The security at the door (brunette guy with beard) asked us as usual ID. So gave him mine, he said that its not me! but it was ME, the pic was made 4 years ago, so i might look lil different. he asked to spell my last name, i did, he said it was wrong! I said my date of birth, but i didnt really remember the adress on ID, cos it was 4 years ago! But he still was saying that its not mine... I thought may be he was kidding, but he was serious and very. He said that he will call to police or if i want my ID back GIVE HIM 100 DOLLARS!!! I was so confused, shocked and said that im not gonna give him any money, just give me back my ID... After he said: Ok, how much you can give me for your ID... After another security came and my friend told him that that guy wants 100 dollars, so he said him smthg, took our ID and gave it back to us. But the evening was already spoiled... Will never back again!

After getting pass all the what seemed like Secret Service security to get in (which was rude) We get upstairs to find out the treament is only for some. We celebrated friends birthdays one of who found a Long HAiR in her salad. Waited over an hour just for our appettizers and another for the main course. The water pitcher was filthy....Not worth the money! too many hot spots in NYC to go thru that!!! \r NEVER AGAIN

The experience starts with a long line and a well dressed, large, imposing doorman that scans your ID in a handheld scanner. This allows them to track VIPs and banned customers. I love technology. The doorman was very polite and explained the device while we were waiting. Once upstairs, you see great views and cool, loungie furnishings. The staff is efficient, and the drinks are delicious. It's worth the wait.

Went here for my friends birthday dinner. The whole experience was great. We were a larger party and we opted to have our server put together an order for us. The food was great, the drinks were strong and they had a great DJ. We will definitely come back for another party

Went for diner during restaurant week, Will never visit again. Rock shrimp tempura was made from frozen shrimp & did not resemble anything close to rock shrimp. Kumamoto oyster shooters with wasabi tobiko & quail egg ??A? the picture had 4 of them, the restaurant served 2. Surf and turf was horrible. We all felt like we had a piece of meat without any seasoning with too much sauce. Warm chocolate miso cake was the best part of the dinner. We were asked if we want water & then charged $10 per bottle. Waste of money. Too noisy. Horrible food.\r \r

Overall, I enjoyed my time there. It was cold outside, so It's probably better in the summer. The music wasn't that great either, it didn't match the environment.

Really pricey but worth it if you're looking to wine dine and stay at a 4 star hotel. There is a great bar on the rooftop and great service and amenities. I highly recommend this for a special anniversery or if you are among the few that can travel to NYC and afford to stay at a 4 star hotel.

Beautiful mix of ppl, very diverse, great dj, plays everything from hip hop/pop/reggae, etc...wonderful setting, i've only been there twice, but it keeps getting better!! I recommend this place to anyone new to the city looking for an upscale hotel bar/lounge to hang out! And the best part is, it's FREE entry!!!

I just wanted you to know what an awful experience we had on Saturday night. We arrived at 9:20 for our 9:30 reservation. We were told to go to the bar and have a drink while our table was being set. After 3 (!) different trips to the reservations desk to ask what was happening, we were told that it would be ""just a moment."" At 10:45 PM we still we waiting at the bar. We had a $300 bar tab and by that point we were starving and our night was headed downhill. Had we known we would not be seated for an hour and 15 min we would not have chosen to spend the night at the bar.\r \r After being told at 10:45 that our table would be ready any second, we decided that we had had enough. We ended up at Pop Burger eating burgers in fries. Although it was very good, it was not what I had originally planned and was extremely disappointed. \r \r I won't plan on coming to Ono again, ever. I am sure this is completely fine with them as when we were leaving not one person said anything to encourage us to stay.
