This restaurant used to be owned by a Celiac and her husband and they took every precaution to make sure their food was truly gluten-free. As a celiac, this was my haven. I work in the area and would order lunch from friedman's at least 2 times a week, usually more. Since they sold the restaurant, I have watched it deteriorate into a regular restaurant, with no true focus or concern for gluten free food. Countless times, they have sent me non-gluten free food. The only reason I knew it wasn't gluten free was because I have been going there for so long and noticed there was no sticker on it. For a new patron who doesn't know about the stickers, there is no way for them to know that the food they trusted to be gluten free isn't.
Do not trust them if you are gluten free. They do not understand or care about keeping food truly gluten free, and they should not claim to.
