to anyone who thinks the days of Jim crow are over empire rooftop has it right here in NYC. Even though I was accompanied by two beautiful ladies , I guess the doormen interpret no hoodies and tims as no black ppl which meant "" they were filled to capacity"" of course that changed when I told them bottle service please! I wish I could I have said it was worth the money but mediocre dj average and often old looking ... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
A friend of ours has been doing promotions here for the past 3 years! We were looking for a replacement for Decade supper club/nightclub formerly on 61 st & First Avenue with a ""grown and sexy"" adult (age 35+) crowd, with no:Timberland boots, sneakers, jeans/pants with no belts and their underwear showing with the pants pocket down to the back of their knees look, ""hood rats"", etc...We seem to have found it! The hotel organized a BBQ party for Memorial day yesterday..... After 3 hours waiting for some foods; we have been told by the waitresses tat they never heard about this bbq........ the should have done an open bar from 5pm to 6pm but at 5.30 pm they were out of stock... It;s completely unprofessional !!! and unacceptable They made people come and excepting something so that; at the end; when they learn tha... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
I would've given Empire Hotel 4-5 stars, however, i downgraded them to 1 star due to their event staff's disorganization. My friends and I (over 15 people) planned to go here for a 22nd birthday party. Empire had said over the phone that they do not make lists (unless you buy bottles) but seeing as it was too expensive for us to buy bottles considering we were a lot of alcohol thirsty 22 year olds looking to jus... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
During the summer, rooftop bars/clubs are the best. I have been everywhere from HighBar, 230 5th and I must say Empire Rooftop blows the everything away. Far to often these cool venues tend to have a pretencious attitude, but not Empire. The bartenders make splendid specialty drinks and the DJ plays top 40's and sweet remixes. If your going on a Friday/Saturday with a large group reach out to AccessGotham, as ... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
My friends and I had such an amazing time at Empire Hotel rooftop. When we rolled up, there was a big line, but because AccessGotham setup my party, we went straight to the front & got a comped bottle of vodka!!\r \r The crowd was pretty good and the table that was reserved for us was in the lounge area by the window. I totally recommend to request one of the table areas by the bar so everyone can get drinks & pa... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
My company had an event at Lincoln Center the other night. After it was over, we stumbled upon Empire Rooftop (across the street). We thought it would be cool to spend the rest of the night on a rooftop so we decided to come up. We wanted a table so we got 2 bottles of vodka. DJ was spinning great mix of music so we spent most of our night on the dance floor. Definitely a great place for an after party!Like this review?Yes|Flag AbuseProvided by Citysearch
