Cellini was recommended to us by our hotel. We were looking for high quality Italian food for a very discerning group - Cellini gave us exactly what we were looking for. We liked the ambience of the restaurant and the service was great. Most importantly the food was excellent.
Howerver, there were two things that soured our experience at Cellini. When we first arrived our waiter asked if we wanted antipasto ""for the table"" (this was before we even saw a menu). We were expecting a big plate of antipasto for everyone to share at the table. Instead, we received individual plates with white beans, a baked clam, mozzarella cheese, roasted red pepper, a baked shrimp and an asparagus. It all tasted great, but it wasn't until we received the bill that we noticed that it was $19 PER PERSON! We were shocked and almost felt like we had been tricked by the waitstaff.
The second issue was that the meatballs were made with veal and pork. Again, they tasted great, but the menu never mentioned that they were made with those two meats. Not a big deal but it would have been nice if they pointed it out on the menu - especially for those who don't eat veal or pork.
We all said that we'd go back for the great food, but once we had the issue with the antipasto we definitely had second thoughts. I would still recommend this restaurant for the food though.
