I have been to several grooming salons and pet boutiques in the city and this one beats them all. I believe they have three locations. I went to the uptown stored located on Lexington and 81st. The atmosphere was lovely, the employees were extremely friendly and knowlegdable. I love that they have a window directly into the grooming salon so you can watch your dog being groomed. The groomer that groomed my poodle was professional and experienced. My dog looked fabulous!!!! I recommend this boutique to everyone!!!

I went in there to buy some holiday gifts before the christmas rush. There were two people working there. One ( a man)went to the back as soon as I walked in and the other (a girl) was helping a customer who simply could not make up her mind. I waited patiently for about 20 minutes to pay for my items. Not once did anyone say they would be with me shortly or even acknowledge me. In fact, the CUSTOMER apologized for taking up so much time at the register so I couldn't pay. When someone finally arrived to ring me up at the cash register, the girl helping the other customer told him to pick up a call that was holding instead of helping me. Even when I was leaving I asked about grooming and she just acknowledged that they did do that with no apologies for having been kept waiting or even a have a nice day. The other reviewers are right, they really lack customer service!

what a disaster !! talk about losing a good future customer - We recently bought a beautiful puppy at pets on lex ( go there ) I was looking for a rain coat for our mini doxie- they did not have one -so they suggested I go up to canine style- actually, Gene was very pleasant and fitted our dog with a rain coat - at the same time we bought a hand knit sweater, and a new collar...v.e- well the collar did not fit , and our dog started coughing, and choking. Since I work full time I sent my daughter in with my nanny to pick another collar or a harness -They encountered a horrible woman , Edith , who was very rude & straight out told my daughter she could not return the collar, as it was ""worn "" and had her tags on it. I spent over 250$ that day, and for $30 Edith was not willing to even exchange/store credit the collar- I just wanted a proper fit for my puppy. Shows all she cared about was the money & NOT the dog - I know it's only 30$ , but I will NEVER go back to that shop again - Stick to PETS ON LEX !!! ask for Lucas !!!

I just took my dog there for a bath, and explicitly said I did not want his hair cut, but that they could trim under the pads of his feet and trim a tiny bit the feathering below his tail. They completely cut off all of his feathering on his rear end, which is never supposed to be done with his breed. I really think they get by on reputation and because they sell high end doggy accessories, but I cannot believe that they would ever trim a dog like this, which is completely against bred standard. The trimming wasn't even done well, it is all choppy! I have heard feathering never grows back the same way. They are also incredibly expensive. I will never go there again.
