Best Breakfast & Lunch in mid-town!!!!!

Have been going to lunch here at least twice a week since I started working down the street last year. I can honestly say I have yet to get a bad meal in the place! They just started opening for breakfast last week, there is no where else I will ever eat breakfast out again!!!! Better quality and cheaper than any of the surrounding places.

only real irish bar in mid-town

I eat at this establishment at least once a week, the food is fresh and the service is wonderful. All the waitresses and bartenders are all authentic Irish and have great personalities. It is the only place with pub style food that I would eat in the area. Also has a great after work crowd and is right next to Grand Central Station.

Best Irish Pub in the area

I felt compelled to write a review of this establishment after just finishing reading the 2 below. I have been patronizing this establishment for over 10 years, since it opened. I have to say that most Irish pubs, even the ones that you can get a decent lunch in are hlt or miss. I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal in this place. I have always found it clean and the staff, most of whom have been there since I started going there have been nothing but friendly and actually know most of the regulars by name. The only problem I have with this place is that its always busy!

HORRIBLE - VERY RUDE manager/owner/bouncer (not sure what he was exactly - except a total moron)! A group of 5 of us went in for my birthday last night - 2 of us got drinks while the other 3 were still deciding. The manager(?) told my friend there was no cocktail service & we had to go to the bar for drinks (obviously!). We said ""ok"" but 30 seconds later he literally said ""No loitering you have to leave"" - we hadn't even been there 10 min and 2 of us already had drinks. We had just come from The Campbell Apartment so we obviously were dressed nicely. With so much competition and a million other Irish pubs out there, why risk having to deal with this jack@$$. They clearly don't value their customers so why not go somewhere else that does? We went to the next Irish pub two doors down where they were pleasant and welcoming. I can't remember the name of it but it was nicer inside, beers were cheaper, and staff were way friendlier. Worth the extra 10 steps to go to that place (on same side of the street).

Best american/pub food in midtown

I live in Manhattan and work close by this establishment. The food is consistently excellent, the place always clean, service is always outstanding. I eat lunch in here probably 3 times a week. After work, this place is great, nice crowd and friendly bartenders. I spend enough time in bars and restaurants in NYC to know which ones deserve praise and which ones do not. And beleive me, there are plenty of places in this city that are just awful. So, if your looking for a good meal or just a quick drink after work, this should be your first stop!

Shepards Pie that truly sticks to your ribs

Annie Moore's played host to me and my family. THey had tv's with football games onand even one tv with the train schedule. Nice touch! All the food looked good but the shepard's pie I had was excellent. It truly sticks to your ribs, great for a cold day.

Awesome wings

This place is clutch for a drink right before headin' out of town. Good selection of drinks (magners!) and delicious wings! I wish more came in the order!

Charged for a Refill

Ok, I've been here a few times now and the food is consistent, hot and you get what you pay for. The sevrice is OK, but not outstanding - it did take more than 5 minutes to get a refill on my coke which they then had the audacity to charge for when I was only given half a coke in the first place - you have been warned!

Yeah, our lunch was kinda eh. You know... eh. Most everything was satisfactory -- the food, the price ($33 for two), the experience -- but then again, I'm easily satisfied. However, I just don't understand how some establishments in this town get away with some of the servers they employ. Geesh. She was dreadful. I don't think we saw her from the time she took our order to the time she gave us our check. Accomplices who were in on her crap delivered our food. And geez, what does it take to get another drink? And like I said, I'm easily satisfied. I don't know, y'all can try it out for yourselves, but I know there are better dining opportunities out there.
