Awesome Wine Shop In Murray Hill

It is a small, but diverse wine shop. Most bottles under $25, many I've seen, many I haven't. I am looking forward to going back, thought it's not really in my regular travel path. ??We stopped here because it was close to where our kid goes to school & we read GREAT google reviews beforehand. It was a great way to kick-off our afternoon of wandering/shopping in Union Square. ?? Although it was a dreary rainy day I had a great time. I left all warm & fuzzy & am keeping my eye on the calendar for future tasting events!

I don't know as much about wine as I do class, but at least believe me when I say: this is one classy place. Knowledge, atmosphere, reasonable prices, perfect location (so many of my friends live around the corner), down-to-earth personal touch...I could go on. I actually found this place on google, and continue to share it with the friendly neighbors who've miraculously managed to overlook this gem. I'm officially registered in their system with a few of my first favorite bottles, and can't wait to go back and really get to know good wine!

This place is awesome. Nice selection of wines. The staff was very helpful and I chose petite syrah which is my favorite wine. I will visit 111 Lex Liquors more often since they offer great wine and their prices are pretty good too.

I would say that I was surprised by the selection of wines they have. This is a real wine store and not some liquor store with different booze. Often they have a wine tasking so you can try the wine before you buy.

The Best Wine and Liquor Store in Manhattan. Period. Amazing(!) and Huge Selection, Very reasonable prices, and staff that REALLY know what they're talking about. They also host great wine and spirit tastings 3 days a week.

It's really rare to find a place that does not charge an unreasonable premium for extraordinary service.111 Lex has extraordinarily fair prices and amazing service. Every part of the experience is exceptional. Whether you have 8 dollars or 80 dollars to spend, the staff is enthusiastic, attentive, and always knowledgeable. Kudos for making excellent wine available to everyone.

You could walk into 111 lex knowing nothing about wine and walk out somewhat competent. The staff here is great. Helpful and knowledgable, but not snobby. I bought a case on reccomendation and have been loving it ever since.

This place is great. Easy parking, knowledgeable & friendly staff...and best of all - GREAT PRICES! They not only have great deals on wines, but also spirits. I always buy my Fernet Branca here because it's significantly better priced than astor.

We came here for one of their Saturday wine tastings - and were treated really well. The wine tasting, in case you didn't know, is free. The wine was great- so we left with a bunch . They have discounts for buying 3 bottles (10%) and a case (15%) - and as I mentioned up-top, the overall wine prices are such that you could easily get a case and not break the bank.

They have a huge selection of wine, and what's not there you can order online. As a California patriot (can you say that?) I love that they stock an overwhelming number from the Golden State. Be prepared to spend alot because even though their prices are good, you're going to want to load up.

Is there an option for six stars? Seriously, I can't say enough good things about 111 Lex Wine. I've been going there since they opened, and their weekly tastings are the biggest draw for me. I even take my baby to them now (and I'm not the only one!). What truly makes this place great, though, is the staff. This is not a snobby wine store. They are always eager to help no matter what your budget. Their fantastic selection proves that you don't have to go broke to drink good wine. I don't think there is a better wine store anywhere in NYC
