I I was recommended to this place by a close friend. He told me they have the largest collection of new and vintage watches in the world. I frankly was skeptical, but when I went into the store I couldn't believe it. Although the store they have is quite small, they have more watches per square inch in any one could possibly imagine! As soon as I went in I was approached by a tall very friendly gentleman by the name of George. He asked me if there was anything he could show me. I told him I was looking for a certain style of Omega watch that I remember as a kid my grandfather had. He proceeded to show me multiple trays of the Omega watches that had virtually every style I could possibly imagine. He said they had over 1000 just Omega watches in their shop. After about an hour of being very patient with me, George found the exact watch I was looking for. It was a vintage omega from the 1950's. It was not gold, but rather stainless steel. It had an extra large round case with very fancy large tear drop lugs. It had a very unusual silver faded dial with black Arabic numbers. It came on a black lizard strap just like the one my father had! The watch was in new condition, even though it was about 70 years old. They gave me a 2 year guarantee with the watch as well. The price was about half of what I was expecting to pay if I even found he watch I wanted, which I was surprised I even found. This place tends to be very busy, so some times you may need some patience. Overall, I would say I was very satisfied & like my friend I would recommend this shop if your a collector of moderate to high watches and timepieces. I would also suggest you ask for George as he was the one who personally took care of me and answered all my questions and had a tremendous amount patience.
Solitaire Creations is absolutely fantastic! I had them make a custom engagement ring for my fiance (now wife) and the results were absolutely spectacular! I came in with a rough idea of what I was looking for and after consulting with Dennis, I felt absolutely comfortable with him, his abilities and his understanding of what I was looking for. He was thorough, thoughtful and helped me through many different choices of engagement rings (which can be overwhelming!) until we had the perfect ring. About a week and a half later, I had a mock up of the ring (with Dennis' insight) and then a few weeks after that, I had the finished product. The engagement ring Solitaire made was truly beyond words and they went absolutely above and beyond my wildest dreams. When I proposed, my wife was in absolute awe of the ring and Solitaire's work. We still get tons and tons of compliments on the ring and have been referring people back to Solitaire Creations constantly. We also had them make us our wedding bands, as well as fix a few other heirloom pieces of jewelry and I can say, without hesitation, that they are the most professional, honest, caring and thorough jewelers I have ever dealt with. Their knowledge of the products are unparalleled and their prices are excellent. We will continue to use them for all of our jewelry (and watch!) needs and they will absolutely be "our jeweler" for years to come. To Dennis and the Solitaire team, thank you and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
I went to Canal St looking wedding ring and matching band. I was looking for something different. Which I can't find at regular jewlery store with out leaving thousand of dollars. This beautiful store caught my eye. I said to myself not to go in because I knew I couldn't afford anything in there. Well...was I so wrong. I walked in. I was a little intimidated with all the bling. I asked the gentleman when I walk in if the rings were real. Meaning if the were thousands of dollars. He never made his brand sound cheap. He just explained to me how affordable they were and why. The 2 guys and the lady were very nice. Jay took his time with me. 45 min later I was very happy and left with a beautiful set. I truly recommend this place. Moving foward if I'm looking for "fun" accessories this will be the first place I come. I'm getting married on October 2015 and these will be my rings to get married with. With the money I saved I can put towards my home. My rings do not symbolize anything in my future. My love for my future husband does. I'm happy with my rings and that's all that matters.
H. Gold Jewelry and Leon Garabet Sr. & Jr. 15 West 47th Street – Booth 40 New York City, NY 212-302-6204 NOTE: They're NOT closed! At this shop, I met a guy named Leon and the man who founded the Jewelry Store about 40 years ago, Leon’s father. They have that focus of a true craftsman and knows what it’ll take to make you the exact piece you’re looking for. They had all the stones in stock and had the craftsmen to do the work immediately! The stones sit on a unique setting, letting light in from behind the setting allows the stone to radiate the color spectrum that few setting provide. Leon is proud to show the strength and rigidity of his settings as well. I still couldn’t believe the price was that good. They also have access to the finest selections of watches in the world. I got the pieces appraised …. the appraisal was significantly more than I expected or what I paid. H. Gold Jewelry 15 West 47th Street – Booth 40 New York City, NY 212-302-6204
Back in 2000 My husband bought me a 3 karat sapphire princess cut ring, its absolutely beautiful. Few years later he bought me a 3 karat platinum pear shaped diamond that is truly exquisite. I phoned awhile later and asked if he had a platinum diamond wedding band to wear with the pear engagement ring. He chose one and mailed it to us, I fell in love with it......My husbands platinum wedding band we bought from Leo, actually two of them as he lost the first one and Leo remembered which one and mailed it out to us. We would not think of dealing with another jeweler other than Leo especially for his honesty, integrity, and quality that he's provided us through the years. We thank you again Leo and look forward to our Holiday visit with you and your staff yearly........ Our friends that we have sent to NY thank you as well......Best Wishes Elizabeth & Bob from Massachusetts
My fiance and I went here to purchase our engagement ring. After having dealt with some other stores and never feeling completely comfortable, we came to Greenwich Jewelers and what a difference! We mainly worked with Lee. She met with us 2-3 times and was so patient and kind while we went back and forth in choosing a setting. Not once did we feel any pressure and she gave us so much guidance and suggestions along the way. While choosing the stone for our ring, one of the owners, Christina was even taking the time to help us with fitting the stone to the right setting. We highly suggest Greenwich to anyone looking to make that special purchase. Great service, wonderful quality products and you can trust you are getting exactly what you paid for! We thank them for making this purchase a wonderful experience!
I have never heard of Canturi before but came across the brand when I saw an ad in the qantas magazine whilst travelling from Sydney to the USA. I fell in love with their Cubism diamond ring, so much in fact I had ripped the page out to keep. On holidays in New York I decided to take a visit, the store is a cute little shop with modern interior. Once you walk in you are warmly welcomed by the sales staff, the lady sat me down and made my experience so special and engaging. I was offered champagne!! They knew I was only there to view but did not treat me differently. She took out the Cubism ring i had been eyeing and i nearly fell of my seat, The most gorgeous piece I have ever seen. I live in Sydney so I visited the store there to get myself a beautiful pendant which I never take off, Love this brand
I bought a memorial eternity ring after my 5 year old daughter passed away and I had Anzor make it for me. First of all, He is VERY VERY nice and REALLY cares about his customers and their satisfaction. Second, His jewelry is GORGEOUS and Valuable at a great Price. I bought a 6 ctw Natural Ceylon Sapphire ring set in Platinum 950. He has worked hard to maintain my satisfaction and has Promised me a lifetime warranty because my story touched his heart. I would rate this man and his company a 5 out of 5 stars on quality, and customer satisfaction. He even engraved her name inside of the band at no charge and included an appraisal with my ring in a BEAUTIFUL HIGH QUALITY Ring box that makes my jaw drop. He is a super super person, NEVER will you regret a purchase from him!
I was shopping in the diamond district for an engagement ring so if you ever been there it can be a little crazy. I did research before going there some online then I actual went to Tiffany's & Zales. After visiting several shops I narrowed it down to two stores this was one of them both shops were nice both and had things I liked but Golden Classics really worked with me on the price. I got exactly what I was looking for what I think was a fair price I wanted a certified quality diamond that's what I got. I also took my ring to a Macy's appraiser to make sure the diamond match the certificate it did very happy and relieved about that. I plan on going back for my wedding bands when the time comes.
Private showroom upstairs in the diamond building where GIA is, the building is like Fort Knox! Friendly and uber-knowledgeable with ideas for my exisiting ring (bought elsewhere before I knew) which I had Gezarian re-set. I couldn't be more pleased...if only my husband had shopped there in the first place;) edit:10-18-12 Just went back to the store after months, the owner remembered me, my name and the ring he made...literally as soon as I walked in the door! It's nice to be treated like a VIP even for my small sale. I decided to treat myself to a matching stacking ring to match the band I had made. He even checked the stones and repolished my engagement ring while I waited.
