While my husband and I were on vacation in NYC from Australia we are at a restaurant who told us their food was Celiac free. I suffer from Celiac disease. We walked into Bill's Bar and Burger in Rockefeller Plaza and the host Jade greeted us. We asked to speak to the Chef and she escorted us to, Chef Learnel. We asked him if the burgers were Celiac free. I explained to Chef Learnel that I am extremely allergic to Celiac made products. Chef Learnel explained all the burgers were specially made and had no Additives or MSG. He completely assured me that my health would not be in any harm. He went on to say that he would personally cook the food for my husband and I. The food was delivered it was absolutely amazing!!!! We thanked Chef Learnel from the bottom of our hearts before leaving. We will definitely re-visit this establishment in the future.
Wanted to give this particular store props for their customer service. We placed an order for delivery and then realized we didn't have enough cash, called back and were told the delivery guy had already left, so we couldn't switch it. The manager called us back a few minutes later (while we were frantically counting quarters lol) and said he got the guy back and was now willing to take our credit card info. Not a big deal, but when someone makes an effort like that for a customer, it's good to give appreciation. Plus the burgers are awesome.
I somewhat unexpectadly stopped into Dogmatic after a stroll in the Park last night and was nicely surprised by the warm and friendly staff and the cleanliness of my surroundings. The HUGE butcher block table in the center makes it feel like mealtime at my house growing up, and the fare... Hotdogs and MacnCheese were not like mom used to make- In a great way! For about $8 I got to try everything I thought I needed to and will definitely be heading back next week! You've got to try it, there not Yo Mamma's Hot Dogs!
