Never had a problem with The Frenchmen. Bill is extremely nice and patient and does his best to help you. I got an air conditioner here 11 years ago and it finally stopped working the other day. I went to the Frenchmen and they said, let's try to fix it first. If that's possible, then you'll end up saving a lot of money. Who does that these days? The other places I went to basically said forget about fixing it, just get a new one because if you get someone to fix it, they'll end up charging you a couple of hundred dollars anyways. Well, The Frenchmen fixed my air conditioner the next day and the repair charge was nowhere near a couple of hundred dollars. If you don't appreciate honesty, old fashioned service and supporting a long time local business then don't go to the Frenchmen. Oh, and if you do happen to live in Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village, you should go to the Frenchmen. They've been servicing and working with residents there forever now and know the strict regulations and protocol for the A/C's. Save you a lot of headache.
I needed an emergency television. He did not have the part for my old set. But he had a tv in his shop. Almost 2 years later the TV is still working! He even called the cable company and programed the remote control. The only problem is it can only be turned on with the remote! I have found him to be reliable and honest.
They have Very Professional staff in the back of the store. the price is very reasonalbe, and the business is very honlisty. Good Electronic Repair Shop!! Highly Recommend!!!
