Horrible business practices, allows for buying of stolen property with no concern for the rightful owners, Good place for the criminal element to get a fast, easy, untraceable, and nontrackable payout on illegally obtained aluminum siding, awnings... I experienced my property being stolen and then destroyed by this place. and then a Pay out being made to an unauthorized party. No person had any right to trespass on my property, steal my goods, and then scrap them without even giving a name! No questions asked, They do not take identification and allow thieves to scribble an unreadable few letters on a signature line,. They do not even take license plate numbers nothing. Seems like they are not looking to instill practices that serve to protect the law abiding rightful owners who later become victims. By doing this they align themselves and assist the criminal element,while receiving stolen property :whereby ,BLOCKING police from having any chance for the proper collection of evidence and information to prosecute these offenders. Having no records on these type transactions seems like a very very shady practice. Common sense would dictate that at least a readable signature would be obtained in assisting law enforcement to prosecute thieves . There is nothing being done to be proactive, and once done there is no step available toward reaction thus thoroughly screwing the rightful owners who now have been victimized twice! How about placing cameras at the payout spot that tape these thieves & illegal transactions when they do not get the proper id or signatures that are readable.Theft is not track-able, due to poor practices, maybe laziness, possibly even complacent workers or a combination of the above mentioned. It seems like a nice arrangement for the criminals who participate in illegal activities. I would advise all persons who want to recycle to do such with only reputable recycling sites that protect everyone's property. I fully support a reputable buyer who secures identification for ALL transactions which serves to protect hard working taxpayers from theft. A theft and cash in on my personal property will cost me in the upper THOUSANDS to replace. I Know Brenners recycling facility has all safety practices in place to protect taxpaying citizens from these unlawful thefts. The business model SHOULD put innocent law abiding citizens property first and foremost above any sale. Any business that is not based on a principle value system should not be making money in the environment that is currently in practice. Sadly, even knowing that a theft took place, and a homeowner is out thousands of dollars in personal property, I HIGHLY doubt new practices will be adopted immediately. New policy should have instituted as soon as contact was made by the police department. Tomorrows a bright new day for the criminals, and an impending nightmare for the next homeowner who is VIOLATED and ROBBED of items bought with their own hard earned money. Shame on you
