There is no doubt what you do has Love written all over it. Not just for God's hurting and rejected people but for his hurting and rejected creatures. I am a Christian in every aspect of the word. In a Gods word he says to take care of his creatures. We as Christians should all find time to volunteer at our local shelters and do our part in keeping the pet population at bay. For everything we face in this life there is an answer for in Gods Word. None of this mess has caught Him by surprise or off guard. Where there is a prison , there should be a program in place for shelter dogs to learn basic commands etc. then be GIVEN without cost to our Veterans for companions. There should be those that are trained and GIVEN to children and adults with special needs etc. Elderly people who live alone. There are so many needs and so many animals being put to death every day while all around them the cities are full of prisoners who could be giving back and making a difference in the lives of so many people and pets. You've got- People (in their own prisons) on the outside, Prisoner's(who are people) on the inside and Pets(who were in prison) euthanized and trashed. My brother was in prison and part of a dog program. He told me that was the best thing that ever happened to him. I had the opportunity to minister in a women's prison that also has the dog program. The women told me that it had changed their lives in ways nothing else had. It works ! Animals can break steel doors that humans put up. My soul says God gave us critters to melt ice to steel and break glass to stone . How can we fight to save shelter animals who are not just a number but a life created by God and pair them up with someone's son, grand son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, daughter, grand daughter, mother, sister, aunt or friend in prison who's not just a number but a human being also created by God , the opportunity to live and thrive, be responsible, and make a difference, to give back , to feel needed, to have purpose, but most of all , to share and know unconditional love . Surly to God , there has to be some way to save them both ? Praying !!!!!

Hi, my name is Debbie Hains and I watch your show everyday, laughing, crying and wondering how you do it everyday! We have two rescued pit bulls from the Baltimore area. Thanks to our daughter who went to college in towson, md. She went to a rescue which is just full of pit bulls., and fell in love with a puppy pit named Samson, well when she brought him home for the first time ,we fell in love with him right away and he the same because he didn't want to go back home with our daughter. Then in her senior yr. of school she did it again,a pity who was going to be put down the next day, brought him home and the same thing happened .
