My friends and I walked a long way from the french quarter to have some poboys here and we were expecting out of this world poboys. They were just ok. They serve straight poboys with no unique ingredients. If you want a classic poboy then you'll enjoy this place. The service was not great. We had to ask for everything when we sat at the bar. There is a part of the restaurant where you can order your food, pick it up on a tray and sit at the various tables they have to eat.
Great late night bar on Decatur! Not bad for after work drinks and weekend afternoons - loud music but the jukebox is good - nice variety from head banging to crooning! Bartenders are fun - just be nice and they'll be nice -- lots of colorful locals (including the owner, Firmin, who is a great guy and his puppy Brimstone) and the prices are good - large selectino of beer and saki, etc. Go and enjoy - funky atmosphere with very eclectic deco
The beautiful patio is located at the Mid-City location on Canal Boulevard. The group that runs "the bulldog" on magazine, and "the bulldog (2) mid-city" also run a place called Lager's on the corner of Veterans and Severn Ave. in Metairie.
