I began seeing Dr. Leggio around March 2005 for extreme bunion pain and curled fith toes on both feet. In April 2005, Dr. Leggio performed surgery to correct the condition, grinding down one bunion, grinding down, resetting and placing a pin in the bunion area on the left foot. He also broke and reset both little toes. Prior to the surgery, to be pain free I had to wear sandals that did not touch these areas of my foot. In my work, i was often required to walk long distances and stand for hours in professional looking shoes, and the pain was beyond belief. The surgery eliminated the pain, and Dr. Leggio made sure I did not suffer from severe post operative pain. I later developed a neuroma in both feet, which caused even more pain. In April 2008, Dr. Leggio performed corrective sugery. Once again, he demonstrated caring, concern, extensive knowledge of the condition, and proved a superior surgeon. Scars are barely noticable. The problem was remedied I developed aa new pain in the balls of both feet. Rather than putting me through more surgeries that would produce profits for him, he told me some people just have bad feet with too many problems to correct. He promised to try to minimize the pain with nonnarcotic drugs and, on occasions where the pain is unbearable, to prescribe a stronger pain killer. Dr. Leggio obviously practices his profession because he cares about his patients. IF YOU ARE HAVING FOOT PAIN, GIVE HIM A CALL IMMEDIATELY. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.
