Success! Thanks for posting your review of Ralphs. You’ve done the world some good today.

Awful mothers day outing

Had a 5:30 reservation. Sat at 5:40. No bread or order until 6:30. They ran out of crab meat and bread pudding when we ordered. Seriously? That's like running out of water for a restaurant in nola. Service was horrendous and slow, and the meal was luke warm. Never again.

One of the best restaurants in New Orleans

Quite simply: go. It is worth it, under any circumstances. You have the backdrop of City Park, separated from other restaurants and any other distractions, superb food, and excellent service. I love this place, especially for a romantic dinner or rendezvous. Good wine selection. Tourists: one of the best kept secrets of mid-city.

Dissapointing....but forgiving

I'm a true New Orleanian and feel it is my duty to eat out as often as possible to support the city post Katrina. I went to Ralph's for my birthday dinner this year and found it to be dissapointing overall. The setting is fantastic. My table was drapped with a maroon ribbon to indicate a special occasion, which was nice and more subtle than a group of waiters singing to me with a sombrero. However, I imagine they... view more

Not Veggie Anymore

This place has not reintroduced Veggie entrees since Katrina. It's a shame. Their attempt at tending to veggie palates is a plate of droopy veggies. I also miss the duck pate. However the steak tartare is delicious. The setting is still beautiful and the fare is rock solid New Orleans.

Great service, great people-watching

Before the storm, Ralph's on the Park offered a vegetarian menu, which has not reappeared post-K. The current menu, though, is an omnivore's delight. Tender, melt-in-your mouth filets, tons of fresh local seafood, playful desserts like lollipops and s'mores. Great people-watching in the main dining room and in the beautiful bar area. Worth the trip.\r

Vegetarian This is Not

Why is this classified under vegetarian? Please someone from citysearch read this and re-classify. My heart jumped a beat excitedly when I saw it classified as such - but there is literally one or two items on the menu that are vegetarian. Fish and Turtles are meat! Every restaurant in New Orleans would be vegetarian if fish were not considered meat.... \r
