food sucks

One of the most overrated restaurants in New Orleans. Their burgers are small and sloppily put together as if a stoned 15 yo made it. fries taste like they were frozen and put in the oven with the wrong preheat setting. Oh, this will all set you back $30 too.

My new favorite place. I've been to Lakeview Harbor many times in the past and have usually had a good experience. Food was pretty good and the atmosphere is for the most part upbeat. I recently heard that the owners made some changes to management and wanted to see what the buzz was all about. I have to say that the place seemed different in a much better way. The service, including the hostess and waiter were... view more

Overpriced and terrible service

Imagine this- you wait at the door for several minutes at a crowded restaurant where nobody even acknowledges you. Finally, you get added to a list by a girl who doesn't even make eye contact with you. Then you wait for fifteen minutes before your waiter gets to your table. You wait even longer for your food which is terribly overpriced and mediocre. My husband's burger was charred and my shrimp platter could hardly ... view more

Better Than Port Of Call

Absolutely better than Port Of Call. This is a clean place. You won't find roaches crawling off your plate and mice running around the restaurant.

Awesome

I lived in New Orleans for a couple years and this place was right down the street from me. The burgers were always juicy and not to mention the huge portion. On top all of that the baked potato just made everything that much better. I highly recommend this place for a good burger at a good price.

Smoky Delight

The Harbor is a poorly lit, smokyneighborhood joint that impresses with it's casual style and great hamburgers and baked potatoes. You won't get fries here but that's more than made up by the loaded potatoes.

Burger Bountiful

There is nothing fancy about Lakeview Harbor, but when you are craving a burger, it's the place to go. There are no parking hassles, just drive up to the door. You can take your family and everyone can enjoy their meal in a comfortable atmosphere.

SCRUMPTIOUS

GOOD, JUICY BURGERS--THICK-CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT--FRIENDLY, PROMPT SERVICE--DRAWBACK OF HAVING TO WALK THROUGH THE SMOKERS TO GET TO THE NONSMOKING (?) TABLE

More Than Port of Call Lite

From its nautical theme to its dark lighting and decent burger (accopmpanied by a baked potato!), this place does eerily echo Port of Call, albeit in a roundabout, neighborhood hangout kind of way. Still, the steaks and sandwiches, the appetizers (good onion rings) and the distinctive ambience give Lakeview its own identity, and it's a good one. A great low-key dinner spot or post-event decompression chamber.
