Jefferson Community Healthcare Center

I just received a call today from Jefferson community Health Care Center. Donna the receptionist wanted to know why I didn't follow up at the E.R. they referred me to during my visit. Again, I informed them at the visit that I could not afford that. I asked Dr. Dumas if he could just treat me for the symptoms that he obviously saw I had and he refused because I was in such bad shape that I "needed" to go to the E.R. If I was in such bad shape, why did they not dial 911? If I was so bad that I needed a trip to the emergency room, why are they calling to check up on me now (weeks later)? I found a doctor that would listen to me first because none of these 9 month course, "certificate and erry thang" medical professionals heard me when I said, " I am only 42 years old, I've never taken a drug a day in my life, I don't smoke cigarettes, I don't come from a history of heart problems, I've been healthy all my life!
