VOODOO SHRIMP

We went for the Happy Hour! Drinks are a reasonable price and the munchies are delish! Two words, Voodoo Shrimp.

Gospel Brunch

I was glad to learn that the Sunday Gospel Brunch is back at the House of Blues. Only 1 seating though, at 10am. The Gospel music was great and uplifting and the food was delicious. You can buy tickets starting at 9:30am, but it's a bit cheaper to buy in advance. The ticket includes everything including free mimosas. It was a great way to start our Sunday

best drinks, great service, and great prices

HOB is the best, I had a wondful time there. yes the drinks might be a little high but it is worth it. and the food is to die for. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED it, and yes you should try it out and see for yourself. It is for all ages and yes everywhere you go in New Orleans you have to have a picture ID so dont forget it because trust me when they tell you, you can't go in because you dont have it you might as well just go ... view more

speaks for itself

what more can be said about this joint. House of Blues is a staple of the city. I went to the back section of HOB for a private function, the bartenders mixed drinks well and I had a lentils pasta which was delicious.

Great art & food, beer too expensive

The house of blues had a really delicious shrimp poorboy! I recommend you try it. I was impressed with the many legends of blues singers encased in glass on the ceiling. The gospel brunch was very loud, if you go on sunday for lunch you might as well join them. Its like the noisy party next door, your not going to sleep anyway so join it. The beer was way to expensive(3.75 for budweiser longneck). Drink elsewhere, b... view more

HOB should be removed from the planet

House of blues sucks. Unless you like paying $3.50 for domestic bottles (i.e. bud light), and excessive ticket prices. The ONLY thing they have going is that they are big enough to draw larger bands than some place like the Howlin' Wolf. Or Tipitina's.

Disney World

HOB has to be the worst music venue in the city. It caters to tourists who have no desire to experience the true culture New Orleans has to offer. A night at the HOB is like a trip to Disney World, from waiting in lines to be searched before entry to the fake ""folk"" decorating and pricey drinks. Employees wear uniforms and McDonald's type drive thru head gear. Do yourself a favor a find a real New Orleans establish... view more
