The Donut Bakery is about the best Bakery in eastern New Orleans, but that isn't saying much when there are only a total of three bakeries in the eastern area of New Orleans. Pre-Katrina their donuts had more flavor, but they are still decent.
The worst thing about the business are the two harrassing young female cashiers who work the front counter. They seem to only bother the male customers for a tip for every transaction!!!!! A dozen of donuts cost $6, it takes them 15 seconds to hand them to you and they will ask you..."where is my tip", or "do you have a tip for me", or don't forget to tip me". TIP FOR WHAT!!!! Now I believe in tipping a minimum of 15% for okay service and much more for excellent service, BUT FOR PUTTING DONUTS IN A BOX!!!! C'mon!....get real!
Female members of my family have gone and they said they haven't been harrassed about this but my brothers and cousins have been bothered by this also.
MEN BEWARE THE CASHIERS WILL TRY AND PLAY MIND GAMES WITH YOU AFTER A 15 SECOND TRANSACTION!
