Success! Thanks for posting your review of Acme Oyster House. You’ve done the world some good today.

Just a bit of a wait for lunch, but still quickly seated. Food was fabulous! Raw oysters, chargrilled oysters, meat pies, fried oyster platter, and bread pudding. Yum!

Gotta try it

Fun atmosphere and good food. Simple as that! Good place to grab a bite in the quarter without spending an arm and a leg to get full. Good cold beer and friendly service.

Wonderful Service and Great Food Too

We went to Acme based on a friend's recomendation and we were pleasantly surprised. our waitress was unusually friendly and pleasant - she treted us well and was pleasant even when were unsure about our order. We ordered the roasted oysters and a couple of drinks they showed up cooked exactly as we'd requested (a little more cooked than normal and extra cheese) and sizzling hot. Neither of us were oyster fanatics but... view more

We sat at the Bar where or oyster shooker ""Magic"" told us exactly what to order... Loud atmosphere, but everything we ordered was AMAZING

Expect a Wait for Good Food!

All good things come to those who wait - that's the truth! My husband and I visited NOLA for our Anniversary weekend and were pleased with the service and selection at Acme. Recommend the chargriled oysters that are done with butter and parmesean. Expect to wait in line for 10 minutes or so...

Grilled oysters to die for!

I can't wait to go back to New Orleans and eat at this Acme Oyster House again. As many times as I have been to New Orleans, I cannot believe I have eaten at Acme only once.

Crazy Good!

While on a trip with my Religion In Primative Societies class down to New Orleans to study Voodoo, we ventured into the Acme Oyster House one evening to dine on some authentic New Orleans food. The atmosphere of this place is exceptional. The food at this place is out of this world! I'm not much of an oyster person. So, I dined on Jambalaya and Hush Puppies. I absolutely fell in love with both of these items. I had h... view more

Don't Miss Acme!

No trip to New Orleans is complete without a trip to Acme! The bread that they use for their Po-Boys is the BEST IN TOWN! The oysters are great and the service is really friendly. If there is a line, just grab a drink from one of the bars on the corner, but be prepared to toss it at the door. Can't say enough good things about Acme.\r

Grilled oysters are sublime. The line outside the restaurant may be daunting, but the oysters and po boys are worth the wait. Must try!

Great Seafood House

Husband and I have been coming to NOLA yearly since before Katrina to vacation. We first stumbled on this restaurant by accident, having eaten at another less than stellar seafood place. We adore Acme, and have never had a bad experience. We've also found that we prefer eating at the bar, to watch the shuckers and talk to the employees, as well as other friendly customers. I tried a grilled oyster, thanks to the guy ... view more
