This company has a new management team and has been striving to do the best for all their residents. They just had a appreciation events for their Oak, Burdette, and Zimple complex. The BBQ for everyone that can out. They are doing a lot better and care about their tenants.

The only thing more plentiful than the lies with 899 rent and Louisiana coastal is the problems.



When we moved in, the place wasn't ready, it was disgusting, and full of cigarette butts. Our sink and washer and dryer had to be replaced. We live there, off of zimpel and Burdette for a year with a leaking roof, broken washing machine, and no building maintenance to speak of. They promise all the time things will get done and they do t. The streets was flooded and garbage was almost never picked up, and just piled up on the curb.



Then come move out time they lied about our deposit and stuff to get us out 2 weeks early, then they said the person who promised it was fired, but they'd try to get it back sooner than sat date. Well, it's been a month.... Guess what?! Still being lied to and no deposit.



Save your time and money - go somewhere else. It's not worth getting tipped off to live here.

I lived on Burdette St. They charge a premium for their apartments and can be slow to do repairs. More significantly, though, is how they handle deposits. They will charge you for apartment turnover costs that you are not responsible for. Be ready to fight for your deposit back.



My story: a repairman came to me door two-three days before I moved out, explaining that he needed to measure a room for a new carpet. This was before I left the apartment, before I had my exit inspection, before the landlord knew the condition of the carpet. The carpet had a small stain or two, but was still in good condition overall, as was indicated on my exit sheet. Louisiana Coastal/899Rent then took my entire deposit, claiming that the carpet needed to be replaced. Quite obviously, they planned to change the carpet regardless, and took advantage of my deposit to pay the bill. That is unscrupulous business.



I would mention that I was ready to accept charges for painting and cleaning, but the carpet was in good condition and I certainly did not damage it.



I would not rent from them again.
