My Wedding

I had my wedding at The bourbon orlean and it wa the BEST day of my life! I had ton of family that came in from out of town and they all tayed at the hotel. They went out of their way to help u around the clock. I tayed in the owner' town hou e before the wedding day ...moreand it wa AMAZING! The wrap around balcony from Orlean to Bourbon Street made the night before my wedding pectacular! We had oo much fun. The door men from the bar acro the treet wa even joining in on the fun! There wa more than enough room for me and a few gue t . We al o tayed in the pre idential uite which wa al o AMAZING! The bar down tair wa great to have drink at before, up to, and after the wedding. It wa a favorite for my male gue t to watch the LSU ba ketball game throughout the reception. The only bad experience we had wa the food at the re taurant. The food wa not that great and the price were too high. The erver wa not that profe ional or attentive. A bit of advice to tho e of you that will be leaving on Sunday morning.... carry your own luggage. We waited for a good 30 minute for omeone to how up to the room for the luggage. I ended up putting mo t of my thing in my car while waiting for omeone. Other than tho e few problem we had a great time.. great location... you are right there in the middle of the new orlean activitie ! view less

The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleansllbean rated
The bar i the be t part

The room are mall-i h for uch a fancy rep, but that' very European, in keeping with the French Quarter. Went to a wedding here and although the wait taff were really lagging on wine ervice (to the wedding table ) in the beginning, they redeemed them elve later. The...more food wa great for wedding food -- filet cooked perfectly, and ma hed potatoe with truffle gravy wa the unanimou highlight. The Ritz ha quite a nice little pa, gym and mall re i tance pool plu jacuzzi. Again mall, but till very functional and nice. The place i like a maze though -- good luck remembering how to get back to the lobby or over to the Iberville without going out ide. It can be done, but it take practice. Be t thing about the Ritz i the lounge. Perfect lighting and really nice eating area to have a drink and people watch. It' like a big fancy living room with good drink and everyone look good becau e of the mood lighting. view less

A Great Night' Sleep!

Thi pa t week I tayed at the Doubletree for 3 day and 4 night . I mu t ay I wa a little keptical about the hotel but to my urpri e it wa actually pretty nice. Granite the room wa not “Spic and Span” but overall there had been ome care put into cleaning the room. ...more Upon my arrival I wa welcomed by Jake who wa very friendly and helpful when it came to the city. He provided me with very u eful information regarding re taurant , tour and direction . Each time I aw Jake he poke and referred to me a "friend," which i alway made me feel welcomed and part of the city. The front de k clerk , Dominique and Percy were very friendly and helpful a well. If I ever return to the city I will definitely be taying at the Doubletree again. Thi location wa in a prime pot for all the attraction . It wa right acro the treet from Harrah’ Ca ino, a few block from the Riverwalk and Bourbon St. view less
