Walking down Bourbon St. you pass shops going for the quick buck. Each one has a hustle going for that quick hit, that one time shot that gets your money and sends you packing. Not Mr. Chubby's Cheesesteak! They are not peddling their goods on the street, pushing cheap beers or shots at the door. What caught my eye was the local police sitting in the restaurant eating along with lots of visitors. Locals in a venue speak volumes to me. So we headed inside. We were greeted by a smile and a genuine "How can I help you?" from the owner Eric Cohen. Big bonus points for sincere hospitality. This was my first meal in New Orleans after a long flight from Los Angeles. It was amazing! Of course I had to go for something snazzy so I ordered the "Nawlins" Cheesesteak and my buddy ordered the "Surf and Turf" recommended by Eric. Everyone in the shop was talking to each other..strangers and friends alike. It was comfortable as could be. It was a welcomed relief from the chaos ensuing outside on Bourbon St. Back to the food. Our order arrived and it smelled amazing! I had amassed a collection of peppers, cucumbers, sauces and other condiments they offer. I wanted to sample a bit of it all. First bite was au natural. The flavor was excellent! Then with the "Tiger Sauce"..yummy! Eric had come out into the dinning area and noticed my experiment going on. He could have kept going, but he made it a point to come talk to us. It was then I first heard the phrase he likes to use "I got something for you!" and boy did he! Back to the kitchen he goes and comes back out with more seasonings. He sprinkles a bit on and wow! Just when you think it can't get any better...Perfection can be improved upon. There is something to be said about a business owner who truly enjoys what they do. It comes through in the product. I spent five days in New Orleans trying to sample everything I could before I returned home to California. The night before my flight home at 1am, all I could think about it having one more "Nawlins" cheesesteak. My hotel was 5 minutes away and so I had it delivered. In every business things happen (especially when a Lil Wayne concert just gets out and everyone crams down to Bourbon St. after!) It is how the business recovers from mishaps that define who they are. I give Mr. Chubby's Cheesesteak huge bonus points because the delivery guy was none other than Mr. Eric Cohen himself apologizing for the delay and ensuring we were satisfied customers. It is a good business ran by a good team of people. I highly recommend it as a "must do" while in New Orleans.

Dr Casey is by far the only ENT my family would use. He is caring, and always sees you in a timely manner. You're not just another number to him, he takes the time to listen what you have to say, then address the problem. We go outside of our insurance to see Dr. Casey and wouldn't consider seeing any other ENT. His nurse Dee is as friendly and caring as he is. The receponist Sandra may come across as rude and insensitive, actually once you get to know her, she is nice and smiles and laughs. I would give Dr. Casey a 100%, he gives that and more. We need more Dr.'s like him. It's ashame the insurance companies and drug companies control the dr.'s like puppets. Dr. Casey is a good ole fashion dr that we remember as kids!
